How can I down grade from 4.0.2

Right, you can't save SHSHs for 4.1 if it wasn't even saved to begin with after Apple stopped signing it, which was later last year. The whole redsn0w DFU is only meant to do custom firmwares, it wouldn't even make a difference if you restored to whatever firmware whether you put it in standard DFU or pwned DFU with redsn0w. The purpose of DFU in redsn0w is to bypass error of custom firmwares so that's not relevant to being able to downgrade without SHSHs.

Well, it kinda is Annie. Remember from the other thread with pwned dfu and tiny umbrella you can bypass the SHSH check when restoring. But it wont help once the phone tries to boot up and finds no SHSH leaving it in DFU.

Right but even if you got down to 4.1 the DFU loop happens, you would still be forced up to 4.2.1 for a normal functional device. Hence the whole saving SHSHs not happening because they need to be saved when being signed. As a fully functional and working process, I wouldnt say this is plausible at all without SHSHs.

You saved your SHSHs for 4.2.1, the only one being signed right now. If you have 4.1 it was done prior to when it stopped being signed. Just bc you went to 4.1 and clicked save doesn't mean that's how you got SHSHs for 4.1.

You are right but i have shsh now on tiny umbrella,even if still i dont have shsh it helped me downgrade that what i wanted,and talking about OS it just like i had os4.2.1 normal and fully functioning

You guys are right but u got me wrong by saving shsh I meant I got shah on tiny umbrella on my Pc not o. Cydia server in Cydia it still shows 4.2.1+ but on my Pc when I pressed save shsh on tiny umbrella after it did and it show 4.1 also now and it has 4.1 one file in it's library which helped me to get 4.1 using shsh method after getting stucked I hope u get now even if u don't then u must give it try or let others try because it helped me and that's what I am trying to do for others

No, it doesn't. Just has to be in pwned dfu with tss server running.

@x98car I read your post and it proves that I didn't had any shsh for 4.1 because I never tried any of those steps for saving shsh,and even I dont have it now but I got it in tiny umbrella after that method before tht I tried it about thousand times to downgrade but it never worked,and if I had shsh and it worked for me I would had never been stuck on 05.15 baseband cz til that time sn0wbreeze wasn't there to preserve baseband

Simon was actually one to figure out with another user that the downgrade to 4.1 is possible without SHSHs but would result in a DFU loop. So he and I actually saw a user do this but he didn't have any SHSHs so he couldn't get out of the loop and had to restore back to 4.2.1. Am I remembering this right Simon?

I also spoke with someone who was curious and tried this. He wanted to figure out how to get out of the loop without SHSHs. He did not have the SHSHs, he went down to 4.1, couldn't stay out of the DFU loop. No SHSHs to restore to that's why.

I think that's sufficient enough trial and error from two different users who actually did not have 4.1 SHSHs to tell me this won't work for anybody who legitimately does not have SHSHs.

I'm going to tell you now, doesn't matter if you remember taking steps to save SHSHs or if you didn't know how it happened, your device has SHSHs saved from before and that's what it is.

Lol then I must try other older os to because I have shsh right and can you tell me why it didn't worked before this method?or Cydia server was down for weeks? I didn't changed any thing,tht might b having problem every thing was same even after this method and if Cydia shows me wrong why is the tiny umbrella showing the same? Are both wrong? Its much more like I am the king of jungle am Going to rule my way isn't it?and for sure I am going to try it on other iPhone too but if it went Gud I know Annie will say you had shsh,well can you do me a favour tell me Which is the best way to check which shsh's I have saved and from where and that will help us tell whether that worked or not ?
