I was just wondering if any of you could help me with re-jailbreaking my 3GS after recovering it.

Firmware: 4.1

Baseband: 05.14.02

Limera1n or Redsn0w 0.9.6RC8 to jailbreak your IOS 4.1 and it will be untethered jailbreak.

Means you can have a jailbreak and be able to reboot without a computer to plug it into. Download Limera1n and jailbreak with that that's the easiest way i think

When i put my phone into dsu mode will it delete everything I previously had on my phone?

Nope everything you had on there will stay on there it will just be jailbroken.

So i download limera1n, plug in my phone, and follow the instructions? Do I need a specific brand of limera1n?

Exactly that just download the latest version of limera1n from limera1n install and run and follow instructions.

Not a list but in all honesty they should all work now very rare to find anything that wont work

Because I had a crappy jailbreak through jailbreakme.com. There were apps and such that would give me the sad iPhone picture and put my phone into safe mode. My phone was fine untill I deleted a bunch of themes and stuff I didn't need. Cydia told me I didn't have enough disc space, which is impossible because I have the 32 gig 3GS. So when I had the option to upgrade my current apps and whatnot, Cydia installed them halfway and my phone couldn't handle the fact that there was a half installed app and it freaked out and literally wouldn't boot. I'm trying to NOT have that happen again because I lost soooo much music.

Looks like a bad jailbreak the last time, and although you hav 32gb model cydia only allows around 700mb of data even if you have the whole 32gb free. Shoulfnt get any problems in my opinion

So I'll still be able to use iTunes and the app store right? It wouldn't let me the last time. And I can still sync my music and whatnot?

I would suggest you use Redsn0w. It has the new, faster Cydia. Limera1n does not.

Get Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 on the dev team's blog, and a stock 4.1 ipsw here on MMi to use with Redsn0w.

All of that should be fine as long as you restored and set your phone up as new. If you restored from back up, it *might* have carried a problem over, but it might not.

Couldnt agree more i always install from fresh and try not use from a backup as i have had problems with many iphone before with this.

Ok, not gonna lie. I have absolutely no idea how to do any of that, but if it's all on this website, I should be fine.

And I rebooted it as new, there was nothing on my phone but stock apps and junk.

I'm pretty sure my friend can walk me through it. I'd like to have it jailbroken before I go to work so I'll have something to do during the dead hours

Ok, so I tried to do it, and redsn0w stopped working, i got the installing jailbreak data, and then it just stopped. Should I have continued to leave it plugged in or should i have untethered my iphone?

Make sure you run redsn0w in xp2 compatibility mode.
