iPhone won't kick out of recovery mode
Hi guys, I bought an iPhone on craigslist and it was working fine but after I checked everything out, he restored it and gave it to me. While I was driving home I realized the phone had died during the restore progress. When I got home, recharged it and when it powered on it when straight to the connect to iTunes screen. Now every time I try to restore it, it is giving me and 1015 error, even sometimes an 2010 error. I've tried going into DFU mode and trying to kick it out of recovery using, iTerminal, quickpwn, and iReb. I do know that the phone was unlocked and jailbroken. It was on 3.something but I don't remember the exact version. Please help, this has been frustrating me. Thanks guys

there are super great tutorials for people with 1015 error. You will find it in the same section where you posted this thread. If not
Download stock 4.2.1
Download Custom 4.2.1 for your iphone.
Download redsn0w 0.9.6.b6
run it. browse stock 4.2.1 if is 3gs iphone select old or new boot.
On the next window select put phone in dfu pwn mode mode.
Next screen follow direction ms if ur successful you get press done and Successful
Exit redsn0w
Open iTunes
Hold shift and browse to custom 4.2.1 for whatever version of iphone you got. Let it finish enjoy your fresh iphone !

yeah I used redsn0w. I'm not too sure on the version because it was stuck in recovery mode before I got to use it. It is an iPhone 3GS.

Nevermind. Got it to boot up! Thanks for all the help guys! I am having another issue though. It is stuck on no service. This phone was unlocked and was previously used on T-Mobile USA but I am trying to use this phone on AT&T. I'm on 4.2.1 and the baseband is 6.15.00. I've tried searching google but no luck. Any suggestions?
