    Default 3gs 4.2.1 unlock

    I wanted to know if I could bring my iPhone 3gs to a local phone store so i could get it unlocked, since I did research that 4.2.1 on baseband 5.15.04 cannot be unlocked unless you update to 6.15.. which is irreversible.. and risky. Also I wanted to downgrade it to 4.1 so i could unlock but the SHSH I have is 4.2.1 so i dont think it would work. What method of unlocking do phone unlockers they use? software, or hardware? and can they unlock my 3gs the way it is?
