Default 1394 Error, Unable to Verify Restore
    Hey guys
    I have an iphone 3gs 32 GB, os 4.0, 5.13.04.
    The phone is currently corrupt.
I did an Erase all content and setting on it. As of right now it boots up but there is no icons just the slider bar. Iíve tried restoring it to 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1. And custom 4.2.1 with no success.
Iím getting the unable to verify iphone restore 1394 error every time. I updated the hosts file, still 1394 error. Right now the only os which is passing the verification is apple 4.2.1 which Iím trying to avoid.
Please advise me as to what I can do to restore my iphone. Thank You.

Have you tried using a old backup file from say 3.1.3? or even 4.0.2 or any prior working backups?

    Hey Kioes,
The phone is restoring from backup successfully in iTunes but after rebooting the only visible change is the background, still no icons.

i dont remember if 3gs can DG at any time, but have you tried to DG to a apple 3.1.3?

If not just update to the apple 4.2.1 and JB with redsn0w 0.9.6b6, get to stock 4.2.1 and select install Cydia and install ipad BB,
You may unlock with Ultrasn0w when its jailbroken.
