3GS stuck in recovery loop

Hi, i have a 3GS mc model fw 4.0.1 but I accidentally upgraded it to 4.1 so now my baseband is on 5.14.02... I tried to downgrade it to 4.0.1 but the baseband is still @ 5.14.02... Is there any other way to restore my phone to it's original FW and BB?? Please help

No way to downgrade BB. At the moment you have one choice for unlocking - the iPad BB upgrade using redsnow.

im having this issue

I have an iPhone 3gs 8gb with new bootrom and 4.2.1 installed through redsn0w 0.9.6b5

i upgraded to the ipad baseband.

everything went fine. now after the final reboot i get stuck with an apple logo and the load icon and it beeps like every 10 seconds.

i then tried to restore it with miy itunes (10.1) , didnt work.

i then tried to restore with a custom firmware i found on the internet, didnt work.
i tried the same with the :: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com :: dns trick from saurik and it still didnt work.

what can i do??

Download Snowbreeze 2.1 and build your 4.1 custom firmware.
Run redsn0w to put your iphone into DFU mode and then shift + restore to cfw of 4.1

Hi!

I have iPhone 3G. Upgraded to 4.2.1 and BB 06.15.00.
The upgrade process was OK, I was able to use the iPhone after. Then, I tryied to reset to the original firmware (in DFU). That was my problem. After that, the iPhone just get me to the "Connect to Itunes" screen (Cable logo and Itunes logo).

I've tryied then to downgrade, reset again in DFU and Recovery Mode, and nothing. As I viewed here in this thread, I need a custom 4.2.1 firmware.

As I'm Windows XP user, and don't have access to MAC, can anyone point me or create a Custom 4.2.1 Firmware for my 3G?

x98car, i'm having the same problem they have, don't have my shsh so can't downgrade my phone but i'm also stuck in the itunes/usb screen, i'm using a 3gs and its the new bootrom, got a solution how i can fix that?

You would need a custom 4.2.1 as well. Because you are new bootrom you will also need redsnow 0.9.6b6 and a copy of the regular 4.2.1 to boot tethered after every reboot since it will be a tethered jailbreak for you on 4.2.1.

ok guys I have a iphone 4 was on 4.1 when received yesterday, unfortuently don't remeber the baseband. from what i remeber i did save with TU and it saved it for 4.1 but for some reason it is not there anymore. anyhow i jailbroke it with limera1n and limera1n icon would just not open even after 10 attempts of jailbreakover and over

then i tried **** + restore with TU and i kept getting error 3194. I said the hell with is i'll full restore from itunes and still 3194. I also had changed to saurik server in the host file c:/windows/system32....
the best part is now i am stuck in a recovery loop and can't get out of it in anyway. i tried ireb , TU exit recovery but it keeps comming back to the itunes plugg with cord.

did i do anyhtign wrong how can i resolve this

You need to use redsnow to put the phone into pwned dfu before you can restore to a custom firmware.

Is sounds like you dont have 4.1 SHSH. If you dont require unlock then you need to open tiny umbrella, click on advanced, deselect the option that says "set hosts to cydia on exit" then close tiny umbrella and restore to 4.2.1.

i am going to apple store get the phone replaced will find a lame excuse. i'll try it next time. am sure 4.1 was saved though now it is not anymore . I know it sounds crazy but ,...thanks for the help. i'll keep this in mind. one last question iphone on 4.1 firmware can be jailbroken with what or does it depend on baseband am confused with all these jailbreaks out
