    Default Help re jailbreakin iPhone
Help. I have an iPhone 3G that was previously jailbroken but later upgraded to iOS 4.1 and I haven't been able to set it free. If anyone knows a way to release this poor prisoner please let me know. Anything will be greatly appreciated . Thank u

Download Limerain and run it. Your phone is then freed. If you need an unlock you will have to wait.

    Limera1n will /not/ work on a 3G phone. It's not designed to.

    However, redsn0w 0.9.6b2 will.

You will need the 4.1 IPSW file to successfully use redsn0w. It can be downloaded here:

(EDIT: Yes I know the IPSW download link says "iPhone4" but it's the correct IPSW for an iPhone 3G, it's an 'iPhone1,2').

What orbyorb says is true, limera1n will NOT work on a 3g...not mine anyway. Even tho a majority of the post on the site are from people saying use limera1n. Has anyone successfuly used limera1n to jailbreak a 3g? Just curious since its offered up so much.
