All it does it stay on Apple Logo on boot, but it shows up in iTunes and i can sync it and everything. What can i do? how do i fix it thanks

You never installed anything like spirit2pwn or jbme2pwn did you?

No i have never installed anything and i have restored in regular, recovery, DFU and DFU by Pwnagetool. To a Apple 4.1 firmware and 4.1 custom firmware made with pwnagetool. All it does is go all the way through restore in itunes and completes successfully. Then restarts and does the reorganizing of the files then after awhile it shows up in itunes and i can read it with iPhone Explorer. Any Ideas? maybe remove all files that are included in the springboard?

I had this happen, first back it up in iTunes unless you just installed the OS

Some say to fix the issue go to Var/mobile/ and rename Applications to Applications2 that way its not loading all your apps wait 5 sec after doing it and it should boot up then change it back and respring or maybe it was wait 5 sec for it to boot then rename it back

Your best friend here is google
I got to the point where I did one final test with a hard reset and then iTunes nor PhoneView could even see it so I had to enter DFU mode to restore

I think your problem is you have the old bootrom which doesn't like the geohot bootrom exploit.
Download tiny umbrella, your iphone has to be bootable not recovery/dfu mode for TU to recognize.
If you can't get it to boot , then you can use USBview to check your ECID.
Once you have your ECID, then you can input it into TU and click save shsh . Let me know what shsh you have and then i will proceed further.

If you can, give me the first 5 numbers of your serial numbers from the left.
