Restored to 3.1.2 from Os 4 on 3GS Restore from backup HOW? thanks

hi

I finally managed to get back to 3.1.2 after using a great tool called irecovery to boot up my iphone

I have a problem tho....how do i restore my backup data eg pics, music , contacts, setting etc?

As far as i can see the only way to do so is via itunes but then it updates you back to os4 which is kinda like back at square one

Please help! itd driving me crazy

Ones you have restored to 3.1.2 , Itunes will ask you if you want to setup as a new Iphone or existing, choose restore from backup. It will not update your firmware, all it does is restoring your data files in Itunes
