BTW One1 knows the rules and does not link to custom firmware. He links to original firmware. So other users are going against the rules on his thread that he made legit.

    Blackra1n RC3 ModMyi Forums - Downloads - blackra1n RC3

Point your hosts file to the Cydia Server where your 3.1.2 SHSH blobs are stored.

Restore to 3.1.2 EVEN IF you are on 4.0 official.

    Run Blackra1n to jailbreak 3.1.2.

Now you are jailbroken again, simply upgrade to a Pwned 4.0 FW.

I JUST DID IT, it works PERFECTLY. I was on unpwned 4.0 official from where I upgraded last night
Thanks, worked perfect for me to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS with 4.0. I have not tried a non AT&T SIM yet but I'm sure it will work. Many thanks so now to figure out why cydia doesn't open.

Exactly. That is why we have been giving infractions and been zapping the posts within threads that link to it so we can keep the threads open to talk.

I think it would benefit you greatly to understand what you are doing so you don't have to ask that question as this is done for a specific reason. Read the link earlier in the thread to Saurik's site.

Is this what you are referring to? If so, thanks. I read it, but it didnt kick in till your response.

Hey guys I just got an iPhone and I want to put 3.1.2 on it to jailbreak/unlock it so I can use it with t-mobile. I've been going crazy the past few hours as I just cannot get 3.1.2 or any other firmware on here.

At first I was getting a 3194 error, now I am getting
The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be restored at this time because of the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.
