Default need to restore to return iphone to apple
    Hello!
I have an iphone 3Gs jailbroken/unlocked for 3.1.2 and it's malfunctioning so I need to send it back to apple? How do I restore it so that it is no longer unlocked/jailbroken?
Also, if it is updated to 3.1.3 when they send it back, will I still be able to unlock/jailbreak it?
I don't totally get this stuff. If you could advise, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks

    J

If you are sending it into Apple, like by mail, then they will probably upgrade it to 3.1.3 no matter what. And possibly not get your orignal device in but a refurb; which you will not be able to jailbreak/unlock.

I guess I'm hoping that maybe restoring will rid me of the issue though I think it is hardware.
Can you direct me to a place with step by step directions to restore to 3.1.2 so that I can unlock/jailbreak if this ends up true?
    Thanks sooo much.
