04-08-2010, 12:12 AM #1How do you find out what bootrom you have?
I have a 3GS, 32 gb. It has 3.1.3, Model MB718LL, and 05.12.01. It's never been jailbroken before. Is there ANYTHING I can do to downgrade anything? Or am I screwed until they release a jailbreak? Thanks. Please post.

I have the same problem so we just have to wait until they release a jailbreak
I know how you feel

Just wondering, does the Model number tell you anything about the phone? Or is because 3.1.3 and 5.12.01?

As far as finding bootrom version:
how to find out the bootrom version?
Post #2 is for Mac, #4 is for Windows.
In your case, model number means nothing, you have a stock version of 3.1.3 on a non-previously jailbroken 3GS, so you can not jailbreak at this time.

Even if I had 3.1.2 and was stupid and upgraded it?

You said your phone has never been jailbroken before, so no, the fact that it HAD 3.1.2 on it means nothing. It is 3.1.3 now, and there is no jailbreak for 3.1.3.
If you had jailbroken 3.1.2 previously, you MIGHT have had options, but as it stands right now, your only option is to wait.
