Downgrading

Hi everyone,

So I've been following guides and directions for a long time now and I've been getting nowhere. I have a question. I stored the SHSH file on the cydia server, but then I reset the phone. Will Cydia keep the file or does it only keep it as long as I have the app installed on my phone. when I upgraded, I reset my phone and it went back to the factory settings.

Now when I "fool" it to use Cydia's server I still get the message about it not being compatable. Can anyone help me out?

What SHSH did it say it had on file?

I'm not too sure. When I first ran Cydia there was the back up link at the top when I ran the app. Then after I clicked it, it said that it was backed up. I'm assuming that that's the file you need backed up.

When did you press that button? Was 3.1.2 current then?

i believe apple stopped signing 3.1.2 around the 2nd or 3rd of February so you have shsh's for 3.1.3 and that is why you are getting the compatibility error...

I know what you're saying except for one thing. I didn't have 3.1.3 or I wouldn't have been able to jailbreak my phone in the first place. So I uploaded something. Is it possible it was a version older than 3.1.2?

Edit: I had the phone since the beginning of February and didn't update anything since I had the phone.

It doesn't matter Saurik was able to get the SHSH for 3.1.3 for you since that is the only version being signed since you got your phone. I am showing 3.1.3 "on file" too but have never installed that version. It is just he saved the SHSH for it while it is being signed.
