Dude there is an esay way to fix the wifi, reset your network settings(this will solve the wifi problem temporarily) now go to cydia and add
iphoneil.com and install push fix, This has solved the wifi issue caused by blackra1n. Success rate almost 70%

Dude, you will be able to downgrde the iPhone firmware, 3.1.2> 3.1, 3.0.1, 3.0 but you will not be able to downgrade the modem firmware, 5.11.7 to 04.26.8.
SO when you manage to downgrade your iPhone OS, you will be phucked because You will have the 3.1.2 modem firmware which is 5.11.7 and whether it works on 3.0 is not known yet but you will have to use blacksn0w to unlock but then again, Geohot made it clear that you HAVE to HAVE at least 3.1 to be able to use the unlock. So I guess you are stuck here on 3.1.2 like the rest of us who upgraded to use that unlock.
What I can advise tho is simply go to cydia, uninstall blacksn0w and then restart your iPhone. Your wifi will come back. Then do all that you need to do in Cydia; that is install apps and bundles that you may want to install that requires you to restart your iPhone. After you are finished, install blacksn0w and you will be good.
This is the BEST advice you can find on the internet as I have the same problem you have. The problem is not with the jailbreak but with the blacksn0w unlock. I too have tried to reset all settings and network setting and hard reset and none of it worked. The problem is that WiFi is good on the phone until the phone restarts. follow the advice I gave you and try to see how long you can go without your iPhone dying or turning it off.
and whenever your phone feels sluggish and you want to force restart to free up RAM, uninstall blacksn0w, force restart the iPhone then install it and you're good.

Dude there exist a really simple solution just add http://cydia.iPhneil.net in cydia and install push fix it will do the trick. iH8sn0w thought that the AT+XEMN caused the wifi problem but geohot has confirmed that hactivation causes the wifi issue just first reset your network settings then install push fix. And isntall blacksn0w, it will work fine then.

Guys, I have a j/b & unlocked 3gs with 3.1.2. I'm an at&t customer and I've tried the iphoneil fix for push but it doesn't work for me. Youtube and wifi works. The push works for a while sometimes when I reset newtwork settings or turn the phone off/on but not always. What else can I do to fix push? Thank you for your help
