Status of 3GS 05.11.07 w/ FW3.1.2 Baseband Downgrade?

I'm wondering what the status of a downgrade for baseband 05.11.07 on the iphone 3gs w/ firmware 3.1.2 is. I recently bought an iphone 3gs on ebay and the guy decided to do me a "favor" and jailbreak it for me using blackra1n. I also bought a tmobile plan the same night that a bought the iphone. So now I'm stuck with an unusable cell phone plan and a nice expensive paper weight. Does anyone know if the dev-team is making any progress on a baseband downgrade method? I'd be more than happy to pay $50+ to anyone who is able to successfully help me downgrade my baseband (or to anyone who can help me unlock my iphone any other way?). (Or donate $50 to the dev-team if they can figure it out). Any news that anyone has on the progress of a baseband downgrade is much appreciated, as I'm beyond frustrated that I just wasted so much money.

the devteam is no longer dealing with iPhone jailbreaking or unlocking. Its all up to geohot to do this unlock. He started on monday and was trying to get done by today but it didnt happen. He recently opened the door into being able to find where to place all nec. files but nothing yet. you can follow him on twitter.com/geohot. hopefully this helps. im trying to do the same thing with the iPhones that i just bought and they came with 5.11

since when did the dev-team stop working on jailbreak and unlock.....youre probably confused with RIP DEV the creators of icy and kate. they are not the same.... u can follow geohot on twitter or visit the dev team blog just google it.

Dev Team certainly are working on an unlock. But there's no telling when it'll happen. Could be a long time away.
