nope.. instead of 3.1.2.. it shows that 3.1.3... but nvm it.. i have fix the problem already and manage to restore it to 3.1.2 already...

Hihi, please share with us how you restored to 3.1.2. My iPhone also shows that I have Cydia SHS 3.1.3, even though the iPhone (JB'd with BlackRa1n) is still on 3.1.2. Sadly, I am now stuck in a BlackRa1n recovery loop...and have tried everything to kick it out of recovery loop. I am trying everything to avoid having to restore to 3.1.3 via iTunes since that will block JB (until a new JB is developed) ...

You can go download CUSTOM FIRMWARE FOR 3.1.2... Because apple is not signing old firmware ed.. Can try these links...

Thanks. I have tried before, to install Custom Firmware 3.1.2 via iTunes "Shift+Restore" since (as you advise) you do not need Apple's signature. However I get an error message that it cannot be restored this way. I will try again today. Cheers again!

Ok before I screwed up my phone when I opened Cydia it said "Welcome to Cydia" you will only be able to back up your 3.1.3 ECID SHSH So what dose this mean that I can update to 3.1.3 and I will still have my unlock ? Thanks for any help.

Nope, you will lose your unlock. The SHSH's are for restoring your iPhone to the SHSH directed firmware(In this case 3.1.3). Btw, what iPhone model do you have? If you have got an iPhone 2G or 3G you can reinstall 3.1.2 without problems, but with 3GS you have to wait a few weeks or months for the 3.1.3 jailbreak+unlock to be released.

I am new in jailbreaking pls someone help currently i am using iphone 3gs 3.1.2 (05.11.07) jailbreak n unlock with blackra1n.... some day before i install a file fake firmware from cydia now my firmware shows 3.1.3 (05.11.07) and cydia shows this device has shshs on file for iphone OS: 3.1.2, 3.1.3 (i never backup there).. kindly guide me what i do next for my safety or if i want to rejailbreaking my iphone.... thanks

3GS Mis Happ!! need urgent guidence from the geniusS!!

I have a 3GS 16GB Black - V3.1.2 / BB 5.11.7
It had an At&t lock. I'll narate the event ive faced chronically.

1) I jailbroke via blackRa1n & unlocked with snow.

2) Worked well for a day. But the next morning i wasn't able to charge my phone via usb. So i reboted & tethered the phone a couple of times. BUT!! it suddenly started getting stuck on GeoHotz picture & if rebooted it starts on DFU mode.

3) I tried restoring 3.1.2 via 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com. (cydia shsh)
It displayed error in the verifying via apple stage & din work.

4) loosing my patience i started redsnow 0.9.4 with the restore pack of 3.1.2 what became worst is my screen displays nothing. (completely blank). It is thus detected in my itunes & displays restore to 3.1.3 option.

Like everyone else I need 3.1.2 jailbreaked on my phone.
Im really nervous & worried.
Geniune helps & suggestions would be immensly appreciated.
I am waiting for some genius's to reply!! PLS HELP!!

Hi there, i updated to the 3.1.3 firmware after my jailbroken 3.1.2 iphone jammed up a few days ago.

I followed the instructions on the first page and everything went fine till i went on itunes to restore to the 3.1.2 fw but then there is this error message:

The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.

Please help!

i managed to get a response when i ping gs.apple.com but why cant it work?

Hello, i am having problems with my iphone. i updated awhile back to 3.1.3 however after succesfully downgrading back to 3.1.2 i had a problem with my phone and while sync again with itunes i cannot use my phone. I updated to 3.1.3 again and did my same method and this time isnt working, i have my shsh file on my desktop and have tried this tutorial and still im unsuccesful. i have tried it on my mac, and my xp and also my win 7.

i have change the hosts file and check the ping etc and thats successful but when using tinytss nothing loads up? the dmg opens then closes, when i try it on my xp it opens a black command box with loads of commands and white writing but closes instance and i do not have enough time to see what it says before closing.

any ideas? thought about using my mac and using screen capture video the whole process and upload on here would that be cceptable?

I used Umbrella and usbview, got my ECID and tried to get my SHSH from Cydia. Which I could get. This confirms I do have my SHSH on file on Cydia. However, I still fail each and every time to perform a restore to apple got 3.1.2!
So, what is going on here? Anyone have this simialar problem?

I understand everything on the post and it is very helpful I just have one question. Where do you download the firmware? I jailbroke my iPhone several months ago (blackra1n for FW 3.1.2) and this morning when I woke up my phone was off. Prior to this I have never had any issues. I attempted to power it back on and I got the apple logo and after about 8 seconds the screen turns black. I tried to reset (power + home for 10 seconds) and it didnt do anything. I downloaded 3.1.2 and unzipped it but when I open that folder through the restore option on iTunes there are no .ipsw files inside. Am I doing something wrong?
