ultimate....i hate you lol, you get xp emulation with ultimate and you wouldn't believe how many times i wanted tha., while i haven't seen it before so idk how exactly it works, but Win7 has two kernels, teh Vista kernel and the Xp kernel, so that could be why it worked or you could've had a different version :P who knows.

I'd just like to let you all know that the most recent version of itunes got rid of this.
C: \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
does not exist anymore...
After the Spirit/Blackra1n Deathloop I recently witnessed, I don't think so..
That, and I don't think this guide applies to 4.0.1, which may have changed the phone around, because that dir/ is not there, and the phone switched right back to recovery mode halfway through the 3.1.3 downgrade (with shsh saved...)Last edited by uhok; 07-21-2010 at 04:10 AM.

Restore Apps and Settings
This might be a dumb question... I was using 4.0 and downgraded back to 3.1.2... is there any way to restore my backup of the apps and phone settings that I did with 4.0?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Please someone help m going crazy with this. My story goes like this:
I have an iphone 3gs which used to have a tethered blackra1n jailbreak on iOS 3.1.2.
I couldn't update my SHSH blobs to Saurik server as my Cydia was continously crashing.
I tried to reinstall Cydia but it would require a restart, and a restart wasn't possible as it was tethered. I would again use
Blackra1n and the same Cydia situation would come back. I accidentally put 4.2.1 firmware and try to unlock it with redsn0w. but
the phone wouldnt turn on and got stuck on apple logo. i try to tether reboot but it didnt work either. Now my phone's in recovery
mode and with installed baseband 6.15(ipad baseband). I cannot recover it back to 4.2.1 as it counters with 1015 error. I can't do
anything as the 3194 error shackles me at every step. Please help, its my friend's iphone and he will kill me if i don't do
anything soon.

Hello, I am running into small problem. My iphone 3g was upgraded to 4.2.1 accidentally and now I get err0r 1015 while restoring it to 3.1.3. I think, I will need to have custom restore IPSW file for iphone 3g 3.1.3. Someone pls give me the link to download it. Thanks.

hi
many many thanx for your great help.
my friend gave me his iphone 3g with on error 1015 after itunes restore.
but no way to get any information from my friend about the OFW or the baseband.
after working 5hours on the error i've found your tutorial.et voila it's working.
here's the result: OFW is 3.1.3 and the baseband is 06.15.00 and surely the source of the error.
what jailbreak can i use on it, please?
apparently, only custom fw can be applied on it,because of the baseband.
need some help please.
bye

Just make a custom firmware for 3.1.3 and put that device into pwned DFU and restore to that custom FW

hi
thanx again for your help.so strange.i thought i had answered on your tutorial post (bondkt post) but in fact that was a mistake.
Quickpwn "saved" my friend's 3G.
ok i've understood that only CFW can be applied.but is it definitive?
can i use a downloaded 3.1.3 CFW?"Just make a custom firmware for 3.1.3"
can i use a 4.2.1 CFW ?
thanx again

No, not definitive, you can restore back to stock firmware 3.1.3.
Right now better follow bondkt's advice point by point, you'll be fine.
It is very important to put your device in !PWNED! DFU-mode to restore.
Yes, you can use a downloaded CFW, just be careful to select activated (unofficial career) or unactivated CFW (official career).
You can only restore to 4.2.1 if you have this firmware signature saved.
(Still, I wouldn't - it would slow down your 3G.)

03-28-2011, 08:10 AM #140with bondkt's advice i've been able to restore to stock 3.1.3No, not definitive, you can restore back to stock firmware 3.1.3.
but i also wanted to know what could be done with such a baseband. so i said my friend to never try to restore with a stock firmware.
thanx again
bye
