Hi everyone, its my first iphone... 3GS.

I have jailbreaked & unlocked 3GS 3.0.1 need to be restored - i have only apple logo on booting. It happened while i had maked software reset via settings of iphone.

I know my ECID (using USBview) but i dont have iBEC and iBSS.

Should i wait for pwngtool 3.1 for preparing custom firmware (with old baseband from 3.0/3.0.1)?

Or we have now a solution to make restore for 3GS 3.0/3.0.1 to 3.0/3.0.1 firmware + baseband?

If Saurik has your ECID SHSH on his server, then you can follow the instructions on his website to restore to 3.0

If your ECID SHSH file isn't on Saurik's server, then you have to wait I'm afraid...

Did you click on "Make my life easier" within Cydia before your iphone got stuck on the apple logo?

If this was successful you would then have seen "This iPhone 3G[S] has an ECID SHSH on file" message at the top of Cydia.

If you didn't / can't remember then I don't think you can check

WOW, folow the Saurik metod, use iTunes 8.2, change host file and restore+shift for firmware 3.0, not 3.0.1

No, I don`t save files ECID, iBBS , iBEC, only restore 3GS with 3.0.1 to 3.0 iTunes connect to Saurik server not to Apple

Uf tour on 3.0.1 then redsn0w is all that's needed. But if your jb on 3.0 already and no ecid with saurik then 3.1 is all u got from what I've read.

If you don't have your ECID hashed with Saurik's server, the only firmware you can restore to at this point is 3.1

But RS4 wrote that he have success in restoring 3.0.1 to 3.0 with Saurik server without any files stored on Saurik server...

1.Use iTunes 8.2, You must have iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw
2.Use Windows and edit C: \Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts put this line 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
3.run iTunes
4.OFF Your iphone PUT HOME and HOLD conect to USB
5.Restore+shift and select IPSW 3.0 iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw for iphone 3GS
6....and OK, if You look error 3002, restart You PC and run again

oh well that's interesting...coz it's not the way we hear from Saurik

His server should not be able to pretend APPLE and sign the old firmware file without previously saved it...
