Twitter has formally unveiled its top trends of 2010. And it should come as no major shocker that Apple and its iOS, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air all found their rightful place on the top ten trends of 2010 in the technology category. Three of the top five trends in this category belong to Apple. The complete list is as follows:

    1. Apple iPad
    2. Google Android
    3. Apple iOS
    4. Apple iPhone
    5. Call

Apple may be off the hook for now - at least with regard to one of its many ongoing legal skirmishes. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's lawsuit against Apple (a suit that also involved ten other major companies) has been officially dismissed by U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman, who deemed the complaint to be too "vague" to act on. Allen now has two weeks to file an amended complaint - something his legal ...

In what increasingly appears to be a case of mistaken identity, a Dutch developer has threatened to release the source code of the SHAtter exploit, depriving the jailbreak community of a valuable tool. After the developer of TwitPanic, @iHaz3, had his site brought down apparently by a DDOS attack, he threatened to release the SHAtter source as some kind of revenge, but has since held off on ...

Tunaverse has just released Cinq for iOS 4.2 devices. This clever app will sync iPhone photos wirelessly to your home computer over Wi-Fi and 3G while you’re on the go. In what would prove to be yet another logical step in the company's unending quest to secure as much mobile technology-related intellectual property as possible, Apple is believed to be among the bidders seeking the portfolio of patents presently held by Nortel Networks. Last year, Nortel Networks filed for bankruptcy and is now liquidating its assets. According to a report Friday from Reuters, ...

A new Apple job posting, showing that the company is looking for more engineers with CDMA experience, is just the latest bit of evidence that Apple is hard at work on an iPhone compatible with Verizon's network. The Cellular Systems Performance Engineer will need to be proficient in GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, and CDMA technologies. All but the last protocol are supported in currently ...

Apple has quietly dropped a jailbreak detection API from the latest iOS 4.2 update. This feature was only introduced six month ago. It is somewhat puzzling that Apple would choose to remove this feature from the iOS so soon after introducing it to the platform. Apple and the jailbreak community have been playing a game of cat and mouse ever since the App Store was first introduced in 2008.
