I don't usually read all the tweets in my timeline. A few times a day I'll pop over to the Twitter app on my Mac or Twittelator on my iPhone and scroll through a bit. I miss a lot of stuff, and it's just a list to me. There's a new app which makes that experience different. TweetyPop is the perfect combination of Twitter and touchscreen.

TapFactory's TweetyPop just came out yesterday - with a new idea on how to use Twitter. It's tactile, and it's exploratory. TweetyPop displays a 3D view ...

Rumors and the reports they've spawned over the last twenty-four hours suggest that sluggish sales of the CDMA-based iPhone have promoted Apple to dramatically reduce the production order for the model through the end of the year. If reports from the far east are, indeed, accurate, Apple may have slashed the rate of production for the CDMA iPhone by as much as 50%.

My calls to Apple regarding ...

The unveiling of the iPhone four nearly a year ago encompassed all of the usual Apple spectacle. New features, new design, and of course the two available colors: black and white. However, on launch day there was no white iPhone. Apple cited minor delays and that the phone would be available soon.

    Then it was delayed again.

    And again.

Apple apparently was struggling with production Alchemy. Except it didn't involved gold, rather it involved white paint and ultra ...

Leaking information about Apple products before said products are released can be really bad for one's well being, particularly if you work at a Chinese manufacturing plant that produces the gadgets about which you squealed. That's certainly the moral of today's story out of Foxconn.

As it turns out, although we're just learning of the matter now, several months ago Chinese police took into custody ...

Apple's announcement of the white iPhone 4's release tomorrow may not be an earth-shattering revelation as much as it is a relief to some. However, ifixit has an interesting mod for the hardware-tinkering inclined: the clear iPhone 4 back.

Ifixit rates the mod as an easy install. I would beg to differ. Anytime I've had to take apart my mackbook, or iPhone, I end up losing one of the impossibly small screws (torx, proprietary, ...

Apple issued a formal response to the Locationgate/iMhere/iGiveupNamingThisThing scandal this morning, admitting the storing of the location cache went too far and the "bug" will be fixed in an upcoming software update. Well it wasn't an outright admission.

This is Apple after all, and this is as close as we'll get to them saying "We #$^#@& up."

The press release opens with a blanket statement that seems to absolve Apple of all guilt. ...

Not one, but two - that's how many new tablet computers Sony raised the curtain on today. The consumer electronics behemoth is optimistic about the chances its two Google Android-based touchscreen tablets have at competing with Apple's presently untouchable iPad and iPad 2.

According to Sony, both tablets will reach consumers this fall, Reuters is reporting. The tablets, called S1 and S2, will use ...
