I received a tweet in my Twitter inbox around 2:15 AM PST from @iphone_dev and @ultrasn0w saying that PwnageTool, redsn0w, and ultrasn0w are updated to support 4.3.3 untethered.

The original exploit, found by @i0nic, was not patched when Apple released 4.3.3. However, there were some kernel crashes and other related issues that kept these above programs from rendering an untethered jailbreak. The team has finally fixed it and now it's hit the mainstream. ...

If you’ve been tethering your iDevice without a data plan from AT&T, then you may have received an ominous text message instructing you to either stop your unauthorized tethering activities, or face being automatically enrolled in a data plan costing upwards of $45 a month. PdaNet has just released an update that includes a convenient “Hide Usage” feature that should put an end to AT&T’s threatening text messages once and for ...

With the expected release of Mac OS X Lion this summer, Apple appears to be planning on releasing it through the Mac App Store. This would be a first for the company, and would dramatically reduce manufacturing costs in the process. Apple is not expected to eliminate the disc version altogether, however, as some customers will still require a hardcopy version of the software.

    At this year’s World ...

Apple is said to be displeased with the present light sensor found in the iPhone 4. As a result, the company is believed to be actively shopping for a new component supplier for the part in question. At this time, it isn't clear if a deal could be reached to deliver a higher-caliber sensor in the iPhone 5 before the product launch is scheduled. But it looks like the component upgrade is, indeed, coming.

On Thursday, a familiar digital technology company by the name of Yudu released what is, for obvious reasons, a highly controversial service aimed at content publishers who sell their subscription materials through Apple and, consequently, have to share in the corresponding riches.

If you're not well versed in the professional ...

It's no secret the iOS multi-tasking and notification functions need to be updated by Apple. However, thanks to Cydia, jailbreak users don't have to sit on their laurels and wait for the snail-paced Apple to update these functions on their iPhones.
