Apple has gotten very predictable in how it schedules its rollouts, with new iPhones being released during the summer, new iPods and Macs in separate Fall events. And like clockwork, Apple just announced it will hold a media event called "Back to the Mac" on October 20 to let us know "what's new for Mac," as well as "a sneak peek of the next major version of Mac OS X." Since the graphic for the event shows ...

Love him or hate him, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has captured our imagination and, if truth be told, a good chunk of our cash, as we can't seem to get enough of the popular products Apple continues to peddle. So, if you ever had any questions about the man behind the mysterious public persona, just tune into Bloomberg TV tomorrow night. On Thursday evening, Bloomberg will profile ...

As voted for by the MMi community, this week's Theme Of The Week is....

    Lucid Dream
    Alien1974

Designed for the iPhone4 & iPhone 3GS under iOS4, comes Lucid Dream by our good friend Alien, who we've seen up for Theme Of The Week several times before, and once again has created a theme with stunning visuals.

The theme features a fully animated lockscreen, which is capable of displaying a slideshow of up to 30 Photos of your choice, a weather widget which updates according to your current conditions, as well as an animated background that will "make you ...

Right on time, Apple is now pushing iOS 4.2 Beta 3 and iTunes 10.1 Beta 2 to Apple Developers, just two weeks after the first release of beta 1.

As you can imagine, there are no documented changes yet, but as word spreads and developers dig inside, we'll be sure to share what's new. Word on the street is that the new Beta has a slight performance increase, of course nothing technical reported however. There has also been some discussion ...

It seems like almost every financial institution is raising its price target on shares of Apple these days. Naturally, British bank Barclays Capital is no different and this morning they raised (once again) their price target on shares of Apple all the way up to $385 per share. The logic presented was analogous to the rationale cited by other banks which have similarly forecast a steady ...

Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices have been in talks with Apple to bring a CDMA iPhone to India, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal. The usual "people familiar with the matter" reportedly said that talks have "been going on as India is a big market for CDMA," adding that a CDMA iPhone "should benefit both parties."

The perennial rumor of an iPhone compatible with Verizon's ...

    The wait is over.

For months, consumers have been told that Apple's popular tablet device would be stocked on Wal-Mart shelves sooner rather than later. But without a clear initial time frame, many assumed that the holiday shopping season would be in full bloom before the iPad would arrive at the nation's largest retailer. But it now appears that the reports published here last week by ...

MuscleNerd shot out a few Tweets this morning letting folks know the status on various aspects of jailbreakland. I'll rehash the points:
    • There is an unlock on the horizon for both new jailbreakers and old, possibly not released until 4.2 though.
    • A new Pwnage Tool should be out by "Funday/Sunday" with support for the Apple TV 2G (the recent release), although

greenpois0n has been released for all, the jailbreak from the Chronic Dev Team. Though at the moment there seems to be a bug where greenpois0n is not actually running the ramdisk on some systems, this should be worked out soon. That's not a harmful bug - it just means while the program will think you're jailbroken, you won't be. EDIT: Seems RC3 ...

Apple is said to be preparing an iOS update to correct a problem with the clock app’s alarm function. So far, this bug has only affected iPhone users running iOS 4 from New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and Southern Australia. The problem occurs during daylight savings time when the alarm is set to a recurring mode.

iPhone users have reported their alarms going off an hour earlier than expected and ...
