Applications that work in conjunction with one another can be a blessing and a curse, especially in regards to URLs. It is convenient to be able to tap a URL within one application and for it to automatically open another application to read or play the link or video. But what can be aggravating is when you tap a URL within an application on accident and it automatically opens another, potentially stopping what you were working on. Over the last few years Apple has purchased two online mapping companies, Placebase and Poly9. This has led many to speculate that Apple may want to abandoned Google Maps in favor of new mapping technologies developed in-house instead. Tension between Apple and Google has been on the rise ever since Google decided to expand into areas already dominated by Apple.

In an effort to save money, and weight, Alaska Airlines is issuing iPads to their pilots instead of the 25 pounds of paper flight manuals they are required to carry when they fly.

So does that 25 pounds of paper count as carry-on or what?

AA will be the first major domestic airline to make the switch to completely electronic manuals. Now don't think this is some custom made app that ...

Nobody really thought AT&T's bid to acquire T-Mobile would be smooth sailing. And it certainly doesn't look as though it will be. In fact, Federal regulators are already coming to AT&T with some pretty heavy questions, some of which threaten to undermine the very reason given by AT&T for their desire to acquire T-Mobile, a deal that would make AT&T the largest carrier in the US.

    AT&T, as you ...
