When downgrading from an iOS 5 beta back to the last firmware that supports an untethered jailbreak, users have been reporting strange iTunes errors. One of the rarer errors is the one shown above; it will leave your device in a recovery loop and can be very frustrating. Here is a guide for Mac users explaining how to get out of this recovery loop and get your device up and running on the latest firmware that supports an untethered jailbreak.

On Wednesday, online retail giant Amazon aimed to set the tablet market on 'Fire' with the long-anticipated announcement of the company's branded tablet dubbed the Kindle Fire. As MMi reported Wednesday morning, the Kindle Fire is an Android-powered tablet that undercuts the majority of competing tablets with its introductory price of $199.

Amazon, in addition to announcing their new-new tablet the Fire, updated their ‘old’ line of Kindle e-Readers as well with the Kindle Touch and a new cheaper Kindle.

The Kindle Touch and Touch 3G are Amazon’s newest Kindle’s. Unlike the Fire these are straight up e-Readers with the “most advanced E Ink display” but, are completely multi-touch enabled. The Kindle Touches utilize no physical buttons—save ...

It seems that Apple has added a number of new entries for revised iPhone 4 and iPod Touch models to its internal inventory database. According to the folks over at 9to5Mac, three new iPod Touch models have appeared under the codename N81A, which is presumably the new white iPod Touch in three different storage capacities. The current black iPod Touch is expected to continue being offered under its existing code name ...

Amazon added some fuel to the Kindle and announced their entry into the tablet market with the Amazon Fire. Its biggest feature is undoubtedly the $199 price tag, positioning it well below Apple’s cheapest iPad.

The Fire has a 7-inch IPS display (Gorilla glass and 169 pixels per inch) and only 8GB of storage. The fire has a dual core CPU, 512MB of RAM, WiFi only, and weighs a meager 14.6 ounces. Oddly, battery life wasn't addressed during the ...

It was a good run while it lasted, but it looks like it’s the end of the road for the beloved iPod Shuffle and iPod Classic. According to a new report coming out of TUAW, Apple will be discontinuing these models in the near future. The ax will likely fall on October 4 at the iPhone Special Event.

The rumored demise of the iPod Classic is hardly a new rumor, however. The iPod Classic was said to be retiring last year as well, but Apple chose to ...

For those of you who may be extremely picky and (or) particular about what the time is, this tweak may be a viable option for you. Stock iOS doesn't offer a ton of customization in regards to the clock on the lock screen (except 24/12 hour toggle), so it's nice to see simple tweaks coming out to change things up. If you are one to want to know the time down to the absolute second, try LockSecondsIndicator.
