Special treatment from Cupertino is rare. Hell, even Steve Wozniak had to stand in line to get an iPhone 4S and he helped start the freaking company (well Woz actually chose to wait in line, but whatever).

I'm not sure what The Situation, of Jersery Shore fame (why do these people exist), was expecting when he strolled into an Apple Store demanding to get his 4S before everyone else. Gizmodo ...

Another tethering app slips past Apple's sorting tables.

To my knowledge, this only works on Macs. If you get it to work on Windows, leave a comment.

PayUpSucker is an app in the App Store that claims that all it does is create emails reminding people of I.O.U.'s and U.O.Me's. What sources are discovering, quickly, is that the app is actually a tethering app which is cloaked by a hidden identity as an I.O.U. reminder app. The app can currently be downloaded here in the App Store for 99˘ and if you want to try it, you better ...

Apple announced its plans to offer an unlocked iPhone 4S for purchase sometime in November earlier this month, but that promise appears to have come a little early.

Reports are surfacing that a number of individuals have already received an unlocked iPhone 4S from Apple. It appears phones purchased at Apple and other retail outlets as “off contract” devices come already unlocked. These devices ...

Find My Friends is a great way to catch your significant other doing things that they shouldn't be.

iCloud is astounding. It's given us the power to push our photos to every device that we have to eradicate syncing, it's given us a PC-free way of life by permitting us to update, restore, and backup without necessitating iTunes and a USB cable, and it even brought us several new apps. One of those new apps is Find My Friends, which permits you ...

With the ever-growing technological age we live in, most of our world is moving towards the digital side of the spectrum. Whether it's movies, music, email, and clocks, people are resorting to taking the tangible aspect out of certain components to make life easier. No doubt this is the better choice for most cases. But, at times, you still need to let your brain do a little of the thinking! And what better way to mess with your mind than to start using an analog clock? It's even conveniently located in the Notification Center, courtesy ...

One the most acclaimed features of iOS 5 is the addition of iMessage. This bridges the gap of communication and allows any iOS device on 5.x to text one another for free over 3G or WiFi. So, whether from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, you're able to stay in constant communication with other iOS 5 users. On top of just the iMessage concept itself, the "typing" dots and the read/delivered ...

As you can tell from numerous articles on jailbreak tweaks for Notification Center, the innovation in this area is still alive and well. Now that iOS 5 is public, one can guarantee that many more widgets will be releasing soon to tinker with on 5.x. One that just recently released, WeeWidget by Albert Schulz, is a unique widget that is not like any of the recent widgets hitting Cydia for iOS 5.

With WeeRadio for Notification, you can add radio streams (based by URL) and listen to them directly through the Notification ...

PowerSaver is a new tweak by Akhil Tolani that allows you to set your device up for certain actions when it reaches a specific battery percentage.

Meet PowerSaver, the new way to keep your battery running as long as possible on an iDevice! This tweak allows you to set certain actions when the device gets to a certain battery percentage. It's actually quite useful. Imagine being able to dim your brightness as soon as your battery starts getting low, or putting your device in airplane mode when it starts getting into the danger zone and you don't have a charger near you. This tweak will solve both ...

Numerous Cydia tweaks are currently being updated for iOS 5. As of late, this is what we know.

iOS 5 is currently jailbreakable using redsn0w 0.9.9b5. The jailbreak is tethered meaning that you will need to connect your device to a computer every time that you restart the device; and 'boot tethered.' Rest assured, that along with the Siri porting project, iPhone hackers are working on an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.

While iOS 5 is new and quickly becoming a big hit for most iDevice users, jailbreak devs ...
