It has been discovered recently that a new lock screen bypass in iOS 7 can allow anyone to skip the authentication method. What’s even more surprising, is that anyone can do this in under 5 seconds. It is important to note that the access one could gain on the iOS 7 device is limited and only apps that were running in the foreground before the device was locked can be accessed. However, different levels of privacy ...

Pictures claiming to show the back panel of Apple’s anticipated “iPhone 6” are consistent with previous parts, showing a redesigned metal frame with space for a lock button on the upper right side. The picture part claimed to be Apple’s next-gen iPhone was first highlighted by the folks over at Nowhereelse.fr. Much like previous parts shown online it appears to be an entirely metal back panel, eschewing the glass ...

Despite the fact that Apple remains exceedingly quiet about its purported plans to enter the smartwatch market, you'll be hard-pressed to find a market analyst or leading financial firm that hasn't already placed its bet on Apple releasing the iWatch at some point in the very near future.

The latest Wall Street watcher to join the speculation games is UBS analyst Steven Milunovich. On Monday morning, ...

Under normal circumstances, you can use Activator to turn your volume up, or turn your volume down; but, rather than sit there and use your Activator action over and over until you get your volume just right at a level that you want to use, you can use a new free jailbreak tweak called Volume Presets for Activator by iOS developer rob311.

This tweak basically lets you configure presets (or use presets that are already set for you) that you can assign Activator actions to in order to set your volume level to that preset.

For example, if you were to set an Activator action to the ...

A few days ago, we showed you many of the new features in iOS 8, but there are many more features to be found in the new operating system. In this post, we'll show you some additional features that come new with the operating system and show you how they work.

    1. Notification Options From the Lock Screen

The first, which you're probably familiar with by now, is the new Quick Reply feature. But what you may not know is that it involves much more than just being able to quickly reply and respond to notifications from an auki-like interface. It also adds useful new notification options to the Lock Screen, such as the ability to mark a notification as read, or reply to that notification directly from the Lock Screen without unlocking your iOS device. This is done by swiping to the left on incoming notifications as they appear on your Lock Screen, and ...

When you open SpotLight, a cancel button appears at the right of the search bar in the interface, but it doesn't really need to be there unless you start typing, because you can just tap anywhere outside of SpotLight to dismiss it.

A new free jailbreak tweak called NoSearchCancel by iOS developer Dekesto is now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository that will hide the Cancel button from the SpotLight interface until you actually start typing, ...

If you use your calendars on your iOS devices often for storing upcoming events and keeping track of them, then you can certainly benefit from a new jailbreak tweak called Calendar for NC. This tweak makes it easier to see more of your upcoming calendar events, days in advance, right from Notification Center. When the battery level on your iPhone or iPod touch reaches 20% or 10%, you will get a pop-up alert telling you that you have low battery. At this point, it's recommended that you plug your device into a power source. On an iPad, on the other hand, you are alerted at 10% and 5% instead.
