Ever since the release of Apple's iPhone sales have been beyond what anyone could have ever hoped for. Estimates now have Apple having:

In the first 2 quarters of 2009 Apple has been estimated to have earned around $5 billion in operating revenue, $2 billion of which is profit. The high profit margin of their products allowed ...

So... I'm not sure whether to be more disappointed with Apple or the publisher on this one. Khalid Shaikh, founder of Perfect Acumen (now doesn't that website just bleed confidence-in-company and originality), until recently had over 900 apps in the AppStore. 943 to be exact. In under 9 months. That's a little under 4 apps a day.... for 250 days. His company is based out of Pakistan, and has 26 employees on a "strict schedule of 12 hours a day, 6 days ...

Say there's a file you want to download while you're on the go. And all you've got is your iPhone. Maybe it's a movie your friend uploaded, or you want to access an ftp:// url, or you need to grab an mp3 off some band's site. What are you gonna do?

Safari Download Manager, in Cydia now as a paid (just $2) package, is a nifty little tool to let you grab these files and more straight to ~/Library/Downloads on your iPhone. Users ...

I love FreshBooks. I really do. Mostly because... I hate invoicing. I really do. I have QuickBooks. I have Word. And I have Googled "word invoice template" more times than I care to ever have done such a thing. It's just... every time I send a client an invoice (I do consulting and web design as a sort of hobby/job), I don't like it. QuickBooks is clunky, Word is bloated, and nothing really worked well for me as an invoicing system.

READ TILL END FOR THE GIVEAWAY INFORMATION

Today I received a much anticipated package from Griffin Technology containing the AirCurve. It's basically an acoustic amplifier - the 'wow' factor being it doesn't need any electricity (or have any piece of wiring inside for that matter)! And no, it's not alien tech... just pure engineering sense. ...

Remember Buzzer? Or any of the MooCow apps like Band? How bout THTouch? Garf? Dactyl? iBlackjack?

All of these were once in Installer (heck, remember Installer?!?) as jailbreak apps - pre-AppStore. Those were just some of the apps ModMyi hosted, and there's tons more that were on Installer on other sources - TapTap Revolution, NeverPutt, Lights Off, Twinkle, iBeer, WeDict, Trism, Sketches, DropCopy, iComic, Tunewiki, Labyrinth, Lexitron, ...

GeoHotz announced yesterday that he will not be updating the Purplesn0w and purplera1n tools for OS 3.0.1. In fact, he won't be updating them at all. One reason - the DevTeam tools already work. He also mentions that the tools were merely a proof of concept, trying to show better and much more painless jailbreak methods exist than the DevTeam's, ...

Citing "conflicts of interest," Google's Eric Schmidt has resigned from the Apple board of directors. I suppose its been a while coming - Google just keeps getting their hands in the pots Apple has theirs in. Chrome OS and Android are stepping on Apple's tightly guarded toes, and the fruity giant and un-evil search engine's part was undoubtedly imminent.

Of course, this couldn't have anything ...

Apple has been struggling hard to bring iPhone into the Chinese market - but even after more than a years of trying, they've yet to achieve any solid success. Each round of negotiations have proven useless so far. According to a report by a Chinese news agency, the deal between China Unicom and Apple was confirmed and both signed a 3-year agreement. ...

So the FCC won't let me be or let me be me, so let me see I try to shut down some GV . . .

    ANYWAYS

The FCC isn't too pleased with the whole Google Voice getting rejected and other Google Voice applications getting kicked off the App Store thing and is in the process of investigating Apple and AT&T to determine wtf is going on there.

Course one Google Voice application is doing pretty freakin well off the App Store. GV ...

REMEMBER DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR JAILBREAK AND UNLOCK!

Update 1: We have confirmed that 3.0.1 breaks the current jailbreaks . . . well at least the 3GS.
Update 2: Looks like using a 3.0 firmware .ipsw with redsn0w to jailbreak 3.0.1 works. Purplera1n failed. This might be unlockable with ultrasn0w as well (we don't know if the baseband has been updated yet, all testing has been done on 2xiPhone 3GS with the 3.1 baseband).
Update 3: As far as we can tell all the jailbreak ...
