If someone told me last week that the initial demand for the iPad is way ahead of the initial demand for the iPhone three years ago, I would asked the person just how much "Kool-Aid" they've been drinking. But according to a new survey, the iPad leads the iPhone in early market demand.

A ChangeWave Research survey reveals that Apple's tablet is "outpacing" the 2007 first wave ...

Just under a year after coming in dead last in PCWorld's 3G Wireless Performance Test, AT&T's network is now winning handily with an average of 67% faster download speeds than its competitors. Coming after the CEO of AT&T Wireless's promise that the company was investing in improved infrastructure after years of dismal reviews, the result - what the testers refer to as a "drastic makeover" - is bound ...

Early rumors that the Apple tablet would run Mac OS X did not pan out, and by designing the new iPad to run iPhone OS, Apple signaled that it intended to use its mobile OS for all its touchscreen devices. Now, a new Apple job listing looking for an engineering manager in "platform bring-up" indicates that the company has broader plans for the iPhone OS. As a central focus, the new hire will be responsible for heading ...

Canadian mobile carrier Bell has thrilled iPhone owners in Canada with the release of Bell Mobile TV, a new app letting Canadian viewers tune in on their mobile device to a plethora of TV channels. Included among them: CBC Newsworld, MTV, Muchmusic, Treehouse and The Weather Network. Most importantly for Canadian hockey fans, however, is live coverage of NHL games. Laptops-for-students programs are becoming increasingly common, with administrators finding that they relieve pressure on computer labs and improve teacher-student communications. Many colleges provide laptops at a reduced rate to students, through partnerships with manufacturers, and some even give them away for free (or, rather, build the cost into the yearly tuition that students or their ...

The drama surrounding Apple's refusal to support Flash on the iPhone and iPod (and soon, iPad) has been long and acrimonious. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has made a series of caustic comments about Flash and its corporate developers, calling Adobe "lazy" and Flash a "CPU hog." Now, however, a Flash developer has weighed in with an alternate - and intriguingly simple - explanation for the banishment of Flash: namely, the lack of a mouse pointer ...

One feature that is severely lacking on the iPhone's security is the ability to create better passcodes. In this day and age, it is highly suggested to include letters and numbers in your passwords to make them more secure. If your not using a alphanumeric password for your accounts already, go and change them now.

Well thanks to the folks over at 9to5mac, they have compiled a mobileconfig that you can load ...

    What's New:

Gimp, Wimp, or Pimp - It's not often we see many games come out on Cydia. This app however is a game you might check out if you are extremely bored. The concept of the game is to see who can hold the iPod or iPhone the most steadily, and the longest, held out at arms reach.

OwnSpy - Another app that addresses tracking and spying on phone information. This one definitely seems more geared towards the "spying" aspect rather than ...

China has long had a burgeoning market in knockoff iPhones, since the genuine article wasn't available in the Middle Kingdom for years after its launch, and even now is so expensive in legitimate outlets that it is out of the reach of most Chinese workers. Evidence is beginning to emerge that copycat iPhones (called shanzhai in Mandarin) are coming to the Western world... and bringing their low price ...
