If Apple can only maintain the pace of growth it presently enjoys, the venerable Cupertino, California-based giant will become the first trillion-dollar company the world has ever seen.

With AAPL hovering around another new all-time record level of $630 today, nothing seems poised to keep the iPhone maker down. And once the HDTV arrives, all bets are off and "real growth" can begin - that's according to Gene Munster.

According to ComScore’s Device Essentials study, it was found that 71% of iPhone users in the U.S. leverage both cellular and Wi-Fi networks compared to 32% of Android users. Furthermore, the numbers are even higher in the U.K. where the share of iOS and Android users utilizing both types of connections comes in at 87% and 57% respectively.

ComScore’s President of Operator and Mobile Solutions, Serge Matta, said that “in the U.K., the scarcity of unlimited data plans and higher incidence of smartphone pre-paid contracts with a pay-as-you-go model likely contributes to data offloading among users wanting to economize their mobile usage.” He continued by stating that the lack of high-speed 4G networks like the ones found in the U.S. also force U.K. users to move to Wi-Fi connections. That being said, the shift is expected to hit the U.S. soon enough as “unlimited” ...

In a recent Japanese-language TV program, a Foxconn recruiter in Taiyuan, China was found saying that Apple will release its next-generation iPhone in June. This was seen in one of the recorded scenes where a woman asked a Foxconn recruiter how many people the factory is seeking to hire. The recruiter responded saying that they were “looking for 18,000 employees… for the fifth-generation phone.” When ...

Two Intel representatives are claiming that the features, price point, and operating system of the Ultrabooks set to release in the near future will beat out Apple’s MacBook Air and iPad.

Intel is claiming that the products coming from the company’s Ultrabook initiative are not only more functional than Apple’s iPad but that they also represent a better value than the MacBook Air, for which the company currently supplies ...

Apple is reportedly working on a physical controller that will enhance the gameplay experience for iDevice owners. Anand Shimpi (from Anandtech) claims to be made aware of “an internal Apple project to bring a physical controller to [the] market.” His sources were unfortunately unable to determine whether Apple as able to follow through on its effort though.

With most toggles and system events being hidden deep within the Settings application, jailbreaking gives us a way to make reaching those functions easy with personalized shortcuts. Whether you’re a Deck guy, an SBSettings guy, or some other kind of guy – there’s a toggle shortcut pane for you. A new toggle shortcut option available in Cydia today is a jailbreak tweak dubbed Usefullcons by iOS developer Rudolf Lichtner.

The iOS lock screen gives us a very clean and professional look, but maybe it's too professional at times. It’s minimal and gives us a nice large display of the current time and also shows us the date right under the time. The appearance of the clock is unfortunately not customizable by the end user. A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed ColorClock by iOS developer Rudolf Lichtner brings us the ability to individually ...

Maybe you have something set up on your iDevice so your music shuffles. This can make it hard to discern what song is playing – especially if you’re the kind of person with large libraries of music. A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed MediaSpeak by iOS developer FreeManRepo will now alert you when a song on your iDevice changes using Samantha’s voice – the voice we are all used to hearing from Siri and tweaks like Aloud, or SpeakEvents.

This is what you would call an overwhelming majority.

According to the findings of the latest ChangeWave Research survey, not a single survey participant said they were "very unsatisfied" with their new iPad purchase. Only 2% claimed to be "somewhat satisfied." What about the remaining 98% you ask. They are all satisfied, with 82% saying they are "very satisfied."

    All told, that's a pretty resounding ...

Need a job? There's a good chance that there will be more than a few openings at a local Apple retail store in the near future. Either that, or Apple will continue to allow its current retail workforce to labor well past the brink of exhaustion.

According to a new report published Monday by IFOAppleStore, the iDevice maker is dramatically changing weekend work requirements. And the move could force a lot of workers ...
