BiteSMS has been one of my favorite apps/tweaks that is available for a jailbroken iPhone. It's made texting more enjoyable and even adds a bit of flavor and customizing.

Over the last few months, the folks at BiteSMS have been busy testing beta versions of BiteSMS and many of us have partaken in the legwork. BiteSMS 5.1 was released January 31st to the public and is fully ...

The LA Times is reporting that more than $10 million in counterfeit and stolen goods were recovered by Los Angeles Port Police. Among the items were iPod, iPhones and other various electronics.

The items were found in a sophisticated downtown warehouse in Los Angeles and it seems the primary focus was Apple products, and pushing them onto the market. Many of these knock-offs were iPod Nano ...

Separate teardowns of the Verizon iPhone 4 done today by iFixit and 9to5Mac have both determined that the new phone's cellular modem is compatible with both GSM and CDMA, lending credence to rumors that future iPhones will be dual-mode "world phones," with the same device able to work on networks using either cellular standard. The Verizon phone cannot be used on a GSM network, as it lacks ...

I posted earlier today about how I was able to jailbreak the Verizon iPhone 4 with an updated greenpois0n. Well, in no time at all, the update is now live and will jailbreak your brand new Verizon iPhone, and any other iDevice on firmware 4.2.1.

NOTE: The new version (RC5 Beta 4) is currently only available for Mac OS X available for both Windows and Mac OS X now! ...

Engadget has posted an image of a Best Buy label/barcode sticker for a white iPhone 4, under the impression that it is a fairly recent find. It is also noted that the Source, a Canadian electronics retailer (that's right, I'm canadian), is also preparing to clear out room for the new iPhone 4 White edition.

While there is no price difference, one can only imagine that the White ...

Users have been able to jailbreak their iDevices untethered on firmware 4.2.1 for a few days now with the release of greenpois0n RC5, however the first wave of Verizon iPhone 4s are landing on people's doorsteps, including mine, and soon there will be an influx of people with the brand spankin' new iPhone who are eager to jailbreak, just like I was.

I tested the current version (RC5 Beta ...

Apple is believed to be planning for its annual Worldwide Developer's Conference to take place June 5th - 9th at the familiar stomping grounds of San Francisco's Moscone West. Reason for the newfound suspicion is rooted in a cryptic "Corporate Meeting" presently scheduled on the Moscone event calendar for the aforementioned dates.

Not only is the Moscone West facility where ...

Although the iPhone wasn't developed to compete with prominent mobile gaming devices from the likes of Sony and Nintendo, Apple's touchscreen smartphone has still managed to unwittingly become one of the most popular portable gaming systems ever devised. Looking to re-capture some of its lost marketshare, the makers of the PlayStation have teamed with mobile phone maker ...

Amid the din of claims and counter-claims about the second-generation iPad, one prediction is pretty much a sure thing: it will do FaceTime. One clever modder has come up with a kludge to allow that on current iPads, though without a front-facing camera it'll only let you see, not be seen. It's an interesting bit of work, though it requires Apple frameworks and so couldn't be made ...

Genius recommendations were introduced back in iTunes 8 and now they’re finally making their way onto the iPhone and iPod Touch versions as well. Apple now includes Genius recommendations with all mobile versions of the iTunes app. To use the Genius feature simply launch the iTunes app and go to the More tab. The Genius option is the last item listed. The nice thing about this new feature is the fact ...

The rumor mill is getting closer to settling on an announcement date for the iPad 2. According to a report from MacOkatara, which has occasionally provided accurate intel from the Asian supply chain, Apple will hold "a small event" to announce the next-generation tablet at the end of February. This report suggests the iPad 2 will be available - at least in the US - some time in March. A separate ...

If you're anything like me, then you have multiple Macs and iOS devices scattered all over your house, but only one computer with all of your iTunes files. Accessing an iTunes library from any computer in your home is easy enough when you have your iTunes preferences set to “Share my library on my local network.” But what if you want to take your music with you when you travel and still want to keep your iTunes libraries synched up? That's ...
