According to published reports early Monday morning, Apple has returned somewhere between 5 and 8 million iPhones to Foxconn. The devices were deemed "defective" by sources speaking with China Business.

In case you've missed out on the new jailbreak tweaks Cydia has seen, this recap will highlight the tweaks we've shown you this week. These are in no specific order.

    1. Abstergo – $1.99

Abstergo is a new jailbreak tweak that enhances the way we handle notifications on iOS. It allows us to be reminded of incoming notifications, and better organize our lock screen and notification center notifications. Many features of Abstergo make us wonder what Apple is doing and why they haven’t yet implemented these features.

    2. Live Battery Indicator – FREE

Live Battery Indicator is a new free jailbreak tweak that combines the Battery Indicator with the Battery Percentage to create one icon that uses less Status Bar space. The ...

In iOS, there is an Emergency Call button at the bottom left of the Passcode interface on the lock screen. The Emergency Call button can come in handy when you want to dial emergency numbers; however, it’s not very useful when you have to call a family member or friend in an emergency. This is where a new free jailbreak tweak called Exigency by iOS developer rvirajm comes in handy.

Exigency makes it so that rather than tapping on the ...

If you’re looking for the case that is going to protect your iPhone 5 no matter what, then look no further than the Lunatik Taktik Extreme case for iPhone 5. The case promises to deliver weather resistance, dust resistance, and shock resistance all in one.

The Lunatik Taktik Extreme is a tank, and we say this because it’s a pretty large and protective case made for those that really take their iPhones with them to dangerous places. We would compare it to an Otterbox, but we have a feeling it’s even more protective than that. The Lunatik Taktik Extreme fights off water and dust by providing ...

Back in October of last year, we showed you a great jailbreak tweak for the iPhone and iPod touch called CameraTweak. The tweak added several useful new features to the Camera application, such as separated focus and exposure, timer modes, composition overlays, and much more. The developer, Samball, has just released an iPad version of the tweak called CameraTweak HD and is available in Cydia right now.

In the screenshot above, you can see what CameraTweak HD will look like on the iPad ...

On Friday, Twitter officially put a date on the closure of TweetDeck- they announced that all Android, iPhone and AIR apps will be pulled on May 7th. Facebook integration was also announced to end on the same day. The announcement was an expected one as it was previously reported in March that Twitter would be taking down TweetDeck on Google’s Android, Apple’s iOS and Adobe’s AIR mobile platforms. ...

It was a subtle but significant revelation yesterday in Microsoft's most recent quarterly earnings call. The venerable tech giant is gearing up to challenge Apple in the market for pint-sized tablet domination.
