Analyst Charlie Wolf with Needham & Company reported Friday that Mac sales are the strongest they've been in five years when compared against PC sales.

Over the holiday quarter, as 2013 wound to a close, Mac sales leaped while, once again, sales of personal computers running on Microsoft’s Windows fell further. Wolf found that during Q4 2013, Mac shipments climbed 18.1% over Q4 of 2012.

As chatter intensifies that Apple will refresh its Apple TV set-top box in the coming months, one of the tech giant's leading competitors in the digital world may be looking to undercut Apple's living room experiment.

According to the latest insider buzz, Amazon will launch a comprehensive challenge to Apple TV with a set-top box of its own, possibly as soon as March. Understandably, the device would ...

Yes, the iPhone's Camera application does have the option to disable the camera flash already, but for whatever reason, I always seem to goof up and mistakenly forget to turn the camera flash off every once in a while after using it, and then when I need to take a picture the next time and the camera flash goes off because I forgot to turn it off, it ends up screwing up the whole picture.

For situations like these, there's a new free jailbreak tweak called NoCameraFlash ...

In the event that you want to have speeddial-like functionality from the Lock Screen, you can use a new jailbreak tweak called PassDial Pro by iOS developer Sassoty to assign different contacts' phone numbers to different "passcodes" on your Lock Screen.

We put the word "passcodes" in quotes, because they're not really passcodes as much as they're just little shortcuts that could be disguised as passcodes. Basically, even if you have a passcode (say, for example, your passcode is 0987), you can assign a contact's phone number ...

Over 20 years ago, renowned designer Tom Karen helped to shape Apple’s future when he took on the task of talking a teenaged Jonathon Ive out of giving up on a future in industrial design. Ive’s father met Karen when the two served as judges for a student design competition. Concerned about his son’s future, the elder Ive asked Karen to intervene when it appeared that Jonathon was reconsidering his choice of career according ...

An iOS 7-compatible version of the tweak dubbed Athena 2 (iOS 7) is now available in Cydia and has the same idea in mind for your iOS 7 application icons, only with some additional features.

Athena 2 (iOS 7) is a free upgrade for those that own Athena already, but for those that don't, it will set you back just 99¢. The tweak comes with a variety of tinting, opacity, ...

For whatever reason, Apple limited the transparent keyboard with the blurred background effect to the iPhone and iPod touch only. iPad users have been forced to deal with solid-looking keyboards that are boring and have no level of transparency or blur effects whatsoever.

If you want to add the transparency and blur to the iPad keyboard as well, then check out a new free jailbreak tweak called iPadKeyboardBlur by iOS developer Hamza Sood. ...
