This guy makes Macbook and MBP batteries. After hearing about the new 8 hour battery life in the 17" MBP coming out late January, you love him.

The 17" Macbook Pro gets a major update today, falling in line finally with the recent updates to the other Apple laptops. Starting at $2799 (same as its been), comes with 4GB of RAM, and can take up to 8.

Probably most notable of the changes though, is the whopping 8 hour claimed battery ...

iWork is coming on strong in 2009 with individual programs receiving major updates to add functionality and a new service being launch: iwork.com which is squarely set to take on Google Docs and SharePoint by Microsoft. Now to get down to the details of what was updated in Keynote, Page, Numbers and the launch of iWork.com.

Sorry for the lame quality photos - we had a slick camera all set up and ready, and last minute technical difficulties (as in, WHILE we were sitting down to start taking photos) screwed that French poodle hard. :/ So you get iPhone photos...

Of course the one laptop from Apple that avoided updates last time around needs an update tomorrow at Macworld. It missed the last go around while Apple needed to work out bugs. According to AppleInsider the 17" Macbook Pro is all ready and is going to be announced at Macworld.

That's good news for those shopping for the large screen laptop. Well Maybe not. If the ...

If you’re like me you have old generations of iPods laying around collecting dust since your iPhone is now the “best iPod ever.” – Jobs

Well this guy, Jordan Horwich, found a use for his old iPods that I think is pretty nifty. He basically took some iPod shells and filled them with some speakers and other wiring and he now has ...

Well there has been speculation that Steve has been sick and that is the reason he wont be attending Macworld 09. In classic Apple style no one at Apple has said one thing or the other about Steve's health until today when one of Steve's rare open letters was posted on Apple.com

    "Dear Apple Community,

For the first time in a decade, I'm getting to spend the holiday season with my family, rather than intensely preparing for a Macworld keynote.

    Unfortunately, my decision to have

Set some time aside Tuesday (tomorrow, January 6th) at 9AM PST - we'll be at Macworld, liveblogging the keynote. Even though Phil Schiller will be batting for Lord Jobs, Apple will without a doubt have some good announcements for us. Maybe just to prove they can without Señor Steve.

We'll be at Macworld all week this week - aside from the keynote be sure to keep checking the ...

The iPhone Bluetooth Project has been quietly pining away at the Bluetooth aspect of the iPhone for months. They recently released BlueSn0w, a small tool (which bears a striking resemblance in name to another recently released - but unrelated - tool) which is mostly proof of concept. It work strictly via command line, but they promise updates in the near future. This could lead to some exciting ...

At first I thought this was really silly, but now can see the functional use…

Apple has filed a patent for iPhone and iPod touch gloves. This addresses the complaints of almost all users in cold climates who wear gloves outdoors. The multi-touch devices depend on electrical responses from user’s fingertips, which are often blocked ...
