As noted here back in August, the French HardMac site released information from their sources that indicated Apple had been testing the next generation Intel "Gulftown" Core i9 processors. Recently, a Polish website released results from tests of the new processor before quickly taking them down. HardMac reports that the tests had showed that the six-core processor running at 2.8 GHz - with 50% more transistors than ...

Last week we covered a new app on the scene called Snappy, which allowed you to take properazzi style photos by snapping a quick photo by simply pressing and holding on the top status bar in any application.

Although Snappy is more of a camera Add-on, and SnapTap is more of a tweak. SnapTap, by Tom Zickel, allows you to take pictures using the volume controls instead of using the small camera button onscreen. This app is ...

Among the new iPhone music apps that has people talking is the "Sing Along With…" application from a company called Apptism. Minus the real artist names in the app title, each variation offers the full collection of lyrics from the stars’ back catalogs, according to an article on MusicAlly. One example given is that of "Sing Along With the Canadian Country Star," which includes a plethora of Shania Twain lyrics (see above image).

A new application approved for the App Store brings widgets to the iPhone, circumventing the need to first jailbreak it.

Yes, indeed, iGizmoz has earned Apple's stamp of approval. Why? For obvious reasons. While there are already a few high-profile apps like Cydget and SmartScreen that enable one to set up widgets on the iPhone, that process is only made possible by jailbreaking the device.

You can understand why Apple is seemingly gung-ho about iGizmoz, although its unlikely anyone is going to regret having ...

A popular UK radio station has launched support for song tagging on the iPod nano 5G - the first European radio outlet to do so as a result of collaborating with Apple.

The advanced iTunes tagging application enables iPod nano users in Great Britain to tag songs heard on device's FM tuner in order to later buy those particular songs in the iTunes store. From IT Pro Portal:

Absolute Radio, which can be found on 105.8 FM ...

In today's world it seems a lot easier to get places when your famous, skills or not. All you have to do is look at the plethora of folks who became famous from viral You Tube videos. Some for the good, some for the worse. But none the less, how much chatter you can bring is generally the most valuable hiring asset these days when it comes to media base companies.

iPhone users (like myself) may frequently complain about how much they have to pay for the digital content they want, but it seems they’re still willing to pay up for it – much more so than owners of other smartphones, especially when it comes to television, film, and general entertainment content.

According to the annual Olswang Convergence Survey conducted by market research firm YouGov, the 1,013 adults and 536 13-17 year-olds surveyed in the UK exhibited a striking propensity ...

Perhaps JR Raphael at PC World put it best: "iPhone App Rejected? There's a site for that"

In what amounts to yet another visible expression of the frustration many possess in response to the substantial number of iPhone and iPod applications rejected by Apple for reasons that continue to escape anyone's understanding - including, at times, even some who work at Apple - a new website has been launched to serve as a repository for the ...

I thought this was a worthy note, considering this app is usually $9.99. Since this isn’t the 1Password Pro they intended it to be, there will be an update to include organization tools like folders and favorites, syncing over-the-air with MobileMe and WebDAV, etc. At that time, the price will be raised to $14.99. About a week ago Agile Web Solutions decided to celebrate their release of 1Password 3 for Mac by offering the PRO iPhone ...
