According to a report on HotHardware.com, AT&T will lose its US iPhone exclusivity on Wednesday, the same day that Apple is supposedly going to announce their long-rumored tablet/slate thing. Though this report - which it attributed to a source inside AT&T - does not mention what other carrier or carriers will support the iPhone, recent rumors have increasingly named Verizon Wireless, the ...

Only forty-eight hours away from knowing all we could ever want to know about the new Apple tablet, and yet the speculations continue to swirl about the forthcoming tablet. We've all heard by now that the tablet will effectively serve as a gigantic iPhone. Further evidence to support this theory is presented today by the folks at Flurry, an analytics firm that is shedding light on the worst kept secret in the tech world. ...

The biggest potential story out of Apple's event in San Francisco this Wednesday could be the iPhone's arrival on the Verizon network. Although it may not bump the tablet's release off the front page, the iPhone seems all but destined for carrier expansion. And Verizon may not have to look past Vodafone's success with the iPhone to witness the potential that could lie in store for a Verizon iPhone.

    Vodafone, ...

If anything is more frustrating than our wait for the iPad's release, it must be Apple's struggle to secure a trademark that is believed to carry the name of the long awaited tablet, which is expected to be formally unveiled this week. According to PC World this morning:

Consequently, it appears that Apple will not have a lock on the iPad trademark ahead of their January 27th event in San Francisco. ...

One of my favorite things about themes for the iPhone and iPod touch, are the ones that make icon sizes much smaller. There is more screen real-estate, and things just look much nicer in a "nano" form. Unfortunately, if the icon had not been created for that theme, then it remains large and looks funny among the rest.

Today there is brand new app called Shrink. Using shrink you can set ...

According to 9 to 5 Mac, there has been a sharp increase recently of computers with an OS version of 10.7 appearing in their site visitor logs. This has been confirmed by MacRumors, and speculation is growing that the next version of Apple's operating system may appear in time for developer release at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference in June.

A terse report in a website covering local news in Cupertino, California (the home of Apple, Inc.) has people scratching their heads today. Zirana, a site that claims to be "a digital media platform covering local communities across the globe,” reports that sometime between January 1 and December 18 of last year, thieves took off with a "prototype laptop" valued at $100,000 from "Infinite Loop," the address of Apple's ...

It's two iPhone chargers in one! Yes, the DuaLink cable for the iPod and iPhone serves up its own fun-sized USB hub that, as you would expect from a title like the one above, comes with a sole USB connector on one end and two iPod/iPhone connectors on the other.

    From MacWorld:

As one can clearly see from the image of the DuaLink in action, CableJive was thoughtful enough to "bulk up" the cables used
    for DuaLink, which seem ...

When money is no object, there is no shortage of cool modifications that one can make to their beloved iPhone or iPod. But as a decent expense in its own right, sometimes it is necessary to "cut corners" elsewhere in order to get the accessories you want at a price that doesn't break the bank.

Today, thanks to a blog posting that's getting plenty of attention, we're reminded that all it takes is a little creativity (and some ...

People have a combination of fascination and fear about location-aware apps. On the one hand, it's kind of cool to be able to look on your phone and see where your friends are. On the other hand, it's a little TMI, and many have valid concerns about privacy and safety when letting the world know exactly (within as little as ten meters with Google Latitude) where you are. The EchoEcho app is a new implementation of ...

Apple seeded the latest build of the upcoming maintenance and security update to Snow Leopard to the developer community on Friday. Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D538's sed notes list only one known issue, in a sign that Mac OS X 10.6.3 is close to the end of its development cycle.

No one has discussed or even looked at this thing without using the word “gross” as a descriptive pejorative to summarize the look and feel of this… contraption. But since it really is a modified iPod, perhaps it warrants some attention.

    But I’ll make it quick.

What we have here, according to Technabob, is a creation that comes to us via “Dr Grymm.” And, as you can clearly see, it ...
