One of the gadgets poised for display at CES in a few weeks is the Rē Remote Control accessory designed for the iPhone. The umpteenth iPhone accessory for the same purpose, the Re offers - you guessed it - the convenience of controlling "everything" in your midst (DVD players, TVs, stereos, etc.) with the iPhone.

Sporting what I like to call "iPhone head gear," the accessory latches on via the docking ...

It comes to no surprise when we hear about a Firefox Mobile app in development for various smartphones. Mozilla managed to convert an outstanding number of IE users over to their platform and get close to an average increase of 10 million users a day lately.

A new report on CNNmoney.com highlights what sounds like an epic battle straight out of Star Wars. But when you think about it, writer David Goldman has a point in his postulation that Apple shouldn't think it has already vanquished its 2010 competition. Next year, after all, could introduce an impressive array of mobile gadgets potentially more futuristic than anything from Star Wars itself.

Okay, get the image of Steve Jobs with a lightsaber out ...

Operation Chokehold, the "attack" on AT&T's wireless network organized by Fake Steve Jobs, had elements of both success and failure Friday. On the one hand, it was an epic FAIL at bringing the network down: an AT&T spokesman told ABCNews.com that they "saw no impact." On the other, the protest drew attention to users' legitimate complaints about network performance, and publicized AT&T's lack of investment ...

This weekend the world is getting its first look at a tablet that could rock consumer electronics in the new year. And it isn't made by Apple. But, sans the iPhone operating system, it could be an indication of what the Mac world will witness if and when Cupertino finally validates the endless speculation rampant on the world wide web.

Slashgear has bestowed our inaugural impression of Notion Ink's "Smartpad" ...

Despite seeming to have come the end of its long legal battle with Apple, the tale of upstart Mac clone maker Psystar will apparently continue to amuse and confuse. On Friday, one of the company's attorneys said that Psystar was shutting down for good and firing its remaining employees. Later that day, the company's website went dark. Today, however, the site is back up and another Psystar attorney is saying the company ...

Reports have been coming for some time that the exclusive deal Apple negotiated with AT&T will end in the coming year. Without knowing for sure if that will come to pass, though, Verizon Wireless says it's ready. According to a senior executive, the carrier has made the changes it would need to make to its network in order to handle what would obviously be a new surge in data traffic.

    ďAbsolutely, ...

Apple has officially introduced iTunes "Movie Bundles" - the digital equivalent of a discount DVD pack from your local retailer that coalesces some of your favorite movies and film stars at a bargain price.

The marketing endeavor and associated discounts are obviously geared toward consumers reluctant to cough up for digital movies when the majority of die-hard flick fans still enjoy the feel of a physical DVD. Nonetheless, ...

The forthcoming release of streaming music service Rdio has stolen much of the thunder reserved for next year's launch of Spotify. As a report on 9to5Mac indicated this morning, the makers of Rdio (who, by the way, similarly pioneered a few other cool services you may have heard of - like Skype and Kazaa) are teasing the service with a new application revealing that the excitement surrounding Rdio may not be exaggerated. ...
