A German company has come up with a collection of add-on gadgets for the iPhone that actually do things in the physical world, not just on the screen. Everything from the simple (a thermometer) to the practical (a flashlight) to the cool but slightly freaky (a stethoscope) to the geektacular ...

At times it appears that our iPhones are practically glued to our hands. So perhaps to free up our hands, we can just glue our iPhones to our wrists? That's sort of the concept behind a new prototype wristwatch called the iWatch, which would would link up to your iPhone and communicate with it via Bluetooth.

To clear up some confusion around the blogosphere, however, this is not an Apple ...

Appsidy, the in-Cydia payment system alternative to the Cydia Store, is shutting down.

Opened a little before Christmas 2009, less than half a year later marks the close of the Appsidy store. Recent Cydia updates addressing privacy (Appsidy used the UUID of your device to verify sales, as does the Cydia Store) broke Appsidy's ability to function well within Cydia, and after discussing the situation, they've decided ...

Our awesome readers here at MMI have grown quite fond of being the "first" to comment in response to the articles, analysis, and other commentary posted to these hallowed forums. But when it comes to true "firsts," Hammacher Schlemmer - the maker of some pretty "far out there" devices - readily comes to mind. Case in point: the "First Solar Powered iPod Speaker." At least, that's what this nifty little ...

This Mother's Day weekend, Apple chief Steve Jobs is being far from motherly or nurturing to ticked off Apple fans inquiring by email as to why the iPad costs so much in the UK. As the writer in the above email states, the UK's most basic iPad option starts at a price $150 higher than the comparable US version. What were sales departments thinking, the chap asked, when they priced the iPads? "It's like leeching blood ...
