Under normal circumstances, you can use Activator to turn your volume up, or turn your volume down; but, rather than sit there and use your Activator action over and over until you get your volume just right at a level that you want to use, you can use a new free jailbreak tweak called Volume Presets for Activator by iOS developer rob311.

This tweak basically lets you configure presets (or use presets that are already set for you) that you can assign Activator actions to in order to set your volume level to that preset.

For example, if you were to set an Activator action to the ...

A few days ago, we showed you many of the new features in iOS 8, but there are many more features to be found in the new operating system. In this post, we'll show you some additional features that come new with the operating system and show you how they work.

    1. Notification Options From the Lock Screen

The first, which you're probably familiar with by now, is the new Quick Reply feature. But what you may not know is that it involves much more than just being able to quickly reply and respond to notifications from an auki-like interface. It also adds useful new notification options to the Lock Screen, such as the ability to mark a notification as read, or reply to that notification directly from the Lock Screen without unlocking your iOS device. This is done by swiping to the left on incoming notifications as they appear on your Lock Screen, and ...

When you open SpotLight, a cancel button appears at the right of the search bar in the interface, but it doesn't really need to be there unless you start typing, because you can just tap anywhere outside of SpotLight to dismiss it.

A new free jailbreak tweak called NoSearchCancel by iOS developer Dekesto is now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository that will hide the Cancel button from the SpotLight interface until you actually start typing, ...

This recap will go over the best tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most notable. These are in no specific order.

    1. Calendar for NC – $1.99

If you use your calendars on your iOS devices often for storing upcoming events and keeping track of them, then you can certainly benefit from a new jailbreak tweak called Calendar for NC. This tweak makes it easier to see more of your upcoming calendar events, days in advance, right from Notification Center. You can even customize the text color of all of the individual text elements, and choose a third-party calendar application to show events ...

When the battery level on your iPhone or iPod touch reaches 20% or 10%, you will get a pop-up alert telling you that you have low battery. At this point, it's recommended that you plug your device into a power source. On an iPad, on the other hand, you are alerted at 10% and 5% instead.

A new free jailbreak tweak called iPad Battery by iOS developer Rabih M is now available in Cydia that will make your iPhone or iPod touch show ...

When it comes to getting emergency information to those who need it when something happens to you, such as when you're in a car accident, or when you're found passed out on the ground somewhere due to a medical condition, your iPhone might be one of the first things emergency personnel will use to try and identify you and find contact information for people close to you.

When a situation like this arises, if you have a passcode, they'll have to find different means of getting information from you, which can take much longer.

Last month, we showed you an incredible new jailbreak tweak for the iPad called OS Experience by iOS developer Evan Swick.

This tweak ultimately brought desktop-class multitasking to iPads running iOS 7, allowing users to have applications open in separate windows, create different desktops, switch between applications easily, and even run applications side-by-side on the same display.

If you use your Calendar application on your iOS device to keep track of upcoming events, then you should definitely consider taking a look at a new Notification Center add-on called Calendar for NC by iOS developer VladMax Soft.

This add-on will allow you to display multiple days of calendar events in Notification Center at once, making for a much clearer overview of your upcoming events. Best of all, you can customize the way they appear.

The add-on is easily enabled after installation by dragging it into Notification Center from the Notification Center preferences pane in the Settings application:

Spotsetter is a company that analyzes someone’s social circle in order to give more relevant recommendations on new restaurants to try or new places to visit. It was reported by TechCrunch that Apple made the deal so they could obtain access to Spotsetter’s recommendation technology and it ...
