The promised "late April" delivery turned out to be just about as "late" in April as any delivery could be.

Today, Apple announced that their iPad model that serves up both Wi-Fi and 3G will be delivered on April 30th in the US to all customers who pre-ordered their device. Best of all, folks who pre-ordered their iPad 3G and arranged for home delivery could get their hands on the new tablet several ...

Gizmodo has added to their growing treasure trove of next-gen iPhone info, gossip and photos with this nice slow-motion video of the device's case. Gizmodo has identified the Apple engineer it says is responsible for losing the fourth-generation iPhone prototype in a Redwood City drinking establishment. Before the phone was remotely bricked by Apple, the person who found the phone reportedly saw the engineer was still logged into Facebook. Despite efforts to return the device, the finder was never contacted by Apple. Interestingly, the account does ...

It could be expensive... but, boy, it would be awesome.

That may be the thinking at Apple these days, as sources reveal to Taiwan's DigiTimes that the 2nd generation iPad model could serve up new OLED display technology that, while costly, would ramp up the iPad user experience to a whole new level.

According to the DigiTimes this morning, Apple is already hard at work ...

Sometimes it's impossible to trace the source of apprehension among buyers awaiting a product that they pre-ordered. For one reason or another, in fact, I've consistently heard from people asking if the "late April" arrival of the iPad 3G would be delayed. Of course, Apple has never publicly backed away from that promise, and if you remember correctly, the April 3rd release date of the basic Wi-Fi enabled ...

    The plot thickens.

A supposed fourth-generation iPhone somehow made its way to Jason Chen of Gizmodo, with the story that it was found on the floor of a bar in either San Jose or Redwood City. Others claim it is an "open secret" that Chen bought the device from someone who stole it from Apple ...

Nick Hesson wrote this morning about an Engadget post that purported to show pictures of a fourth-generation iPhone found on the floor of a bar in San Jose, near Apple headquarters. Nick wasn't buying it, and sure enough, a user on the Spanish site Applesfera wrote in to say that he'd bought an identical phone - likely a Chinese shanzhai knockoff - in Japan last year. So that's it, right? Just another ...

It appears that Apple's new iPhone OS 4.0 has some more hidden (or at least hardly mentioned) features packed away inside for the Bluetooth support. 9to5Mac has released a video detailing some of the iPhone OS 4.0 Bluetooth support for Keyboards and Remotes.

Controls on the keyboard such as music controls, volume, and brightness controls, work great with the iPhone, which is pretty cool. Most ...

The flurry of patents coming down the line from Apple is providing interesting insights into what Cupertino has on the horizon for developing new platforms, services, and functions for the ubiquitous mobile devices that may already exert more influence on our lives than we presently realize. And, while Apple is usually ahead of the tech curve rather than behind it, there is one aspect of burgeoning ...

AT&T's competitors are making pitches to WiFi-only iPad users, hoping to capitalize on years of complaints about the speed of AT&T's "overloaded" 3G network. Verizon is pushing its MiFi mobile hotspot to iPad owners, and now Sprint is getting into the game, offering a snazzy carrying case called the Sprint 4G Case for iPad that allows you to tote your tablet plus Sprint's Overdrive: a 3G/4G ...
