Reminiscent of the "Death Grip" saga that plagued Apple's iPhone 4 in the headlines for months, Consumer Reports is once again blasting the smartphone maker of the February launch of Verizon's iPhone. As it turns out, Consumer Reports doesn't see much difference between the Verizon iPhone 4 and its GSM sibling on AT&T. In other words, Consumer Reports doesn't like either.

Of course, this doesn't mean Apple ...

Perhaps rivaled in grandeur only by the ball that drops in Times Square every New Year's Eve, the other famous countdown mechanism we all know and love (or simply tolerate) has returned. And all you have to do is check out the official Apple website to see where the numbers stand at this very moment. You see, on Friday, Apple resurrected its cheesy little app download counter to usher in with excitement ...

With about half a year to go before the expected fifth-generation iPhone launch, the East Asian supply chain is already humming with rumors about the new phone's design. A supplier of bulk silicon is blabbing that Qualcomm is buying up wafers at a prodigious rate for iPhone 5 parts, and hinting that it could provide parts for a new Apple system-on-a-chip called the "A8." Nothing is known about this purported ...

If its' true that good things really do take time, now would be a good time to aquire that virtue called patience - assuming being a member of this community hasn't already imbued you ...

It's a headline you're probably just as tired of reading as tech journalists are of writing. But once again, the long-awaited, much anticipated (over-hyped) arrival of "The Daily" has been delayed... yes, again. At this point, it's difficult to keep count of how many delays this iPad exclusive digital publications has endured. What makes the latest delay so significant, however, is that it's starting ...

Greetings! I'd like to take this initial post to introduce myself to the Apple news community! My name is Matt Savoca, and I've recently been added to the writing staff here at Modmyi.

Now, I never have found these online introductions to be very interesting or useful, and I'm not even very good at describing myself in person, let alone online, but I'll give it a shot nonetheless.

    For starters, I'm ...

The old adage "You can never go home again" may soon apply to the iPhone and iPad - at least in terms of the device's home button.

As widely picked up across the blogosphere Thursday, there's a new report suggesting that Apple may remove the home button on the aforementioned products in time for next-generation releases later this year. In its place would simply be more sophisticated multitouch gestures that would ...
