One clever modder has come up with a kludge to allow that on current iPads, though without a front-facing camera it'll only let you see, not be seen. It's an interesting bit of work, though it requires Apple frameworks and so couldn't be made ...

The rumor mill is getting closer to settling on an announcement date for the iPad 2. If you're anything like me, then you have multiple Macs and iOS devices scattered all over your house, but only one computer with all of your iTunes files. Accessing an iTunes library from any computer in your home is easy enough when you have your iTunes preferences set to “Share my library on my local network.” But what if you want to take your music with you when you travel and still want to keep your iTunes libraries synched up? That's ...

In yet another clear example of the many ways in which Apple's iPad is changing the status quo in multiple facets of life, it may soon become a reality in the state of Georgia where textbooks are a thing of the past. If Georgia state legislator Tommie Williams has his way, every middle school classroom will boast one iPad per student, each loaded with the study materials and course work ...

While walking the floor at Macworld Expo I came across a booth that featured a rather unassuming device. Upon closer inspection I realized what a cool little product I had stumbled onto. The iRecord Pro ($269.99) is a black box that allows you to record video directly to an iPad from any device that has a RCA (Red, White and Yellow cable) output.

With the iRecord Pro you can ...
