The release of new iPad a day and some hours away, and Apple’s pre-orders have sold out. Still, many are looking to upgrade, and for those wary of eBay, and Craigslist, Apple and few others are willing to give you money for your old-busted (still capable) iPad 2.

Apple’s own “Reuse and Recycling Program” will shell-out up to $320 for your old nearly mint conditioned 64GB 3G iPad 2. Prices go down steadily from their though. Also, Apple’s money comes in the ...

In the beginning of the month, we showed you an awesome new jailbreak tweak dubbed Aloud by iOS developer Ori Kadosh, which would announce your notifications as you receive them. It came with extensive settings for controlling the applications that would be announced, when notifications would be read out loud, and much more. The whole review covering all of its features we wrote on it can be read here.

This month's winner is Elite Pro iOS 5 (beta) by BarsOverBeats.

Elite Pro has been around for quite some time now - and BarsOverBeats has been slaving away updating this theme for iOS5. This is probably the most elite, full theme you will ever see. There are dozens of widgets and addons for this theme. The thread alone has over ...

Let's take a look at some headphones today. Sunnyvale, CA based Moshi, an iAccessory maker, has recently started getting into audio products, and asked us to take a look and give our thoughts. We're starting with their Vortex headphones.

The first thing you notice with the Vortex phones is the packaging. A thick box with Apple-esque design has a window which shows the earbuds, and Moshi's explanation of their product. Once opened up, the box is instantly presenting the earbuds, holder, and additional sizes of ear tips. There are 3 types of ear tips in addition to the ones on the earbuds ...

CNET published an awesome analysis of exactly how fast the new iPad could potentially blow through your data plan when operating on 4G LTE networks.

Current iPad data plans for AT&T and Verizon look like this:

Not cheap, and definitely not unlimited. Thankfully Verizon and AT&T provide data calculators to help customers decide what data plan best suits their needs. While these estimates ...

It’s a known fact that many people have more than one iTunes account. Whether you have a family and each person has their own iTunes account, but you share a single iDevice, or you simply have more than one iTunes account all to yourself for some reason, switching between them to make App Store and iTunes purchases has never been easy. It requires you to go digging into the Settings application to sign out of your currently signed-in iTunes account ...

Undoubtedly one of the most-used features of an iDevice is the camera. The camera is a fun object on any iDevice because of the plethora of applications in the App Store supporting it. They don’t only support the rear-facing camera, but also the front-facing camera as well. The only problem? – Getting to the camera as quick as possible before your photograph opportunity is gone.

Apple tried to make accessing the Camera application much faster ...

If you remember Lyricalizer, it was originally released for the iPad only because the developer, ac3xx, thought it was unfair of Apple to have removed lyric functionality from the Music application on the iPad in iOS 5 – especially with such a large screen to take advantage of. Not only did Lyricalizer re-add lyric functionality to the iPad, but Lyricalizer will search the Internet to grab lyrics automatically, so you don’t have to add them manually ...

The new iPad isn’t even out yet and rumors regarding a 7.85” model iPad are already flaring back up.

The Korean Times published claims by an unnamed Samsung source that Apple is expected to purchase $11 billion in components from Samsung by the end of 2012. This is up from the $9.7 billion outlined in the current contract between the two companies. The source claims a portion of that $11 billion is going toward ...

PureGear is based out of Irwindale, CA - 20 minutes east of LA. They're a newer brand, started in September of 2010. They now retail over 100 products for various mobile devices in the US and Canada. We're looking at their Kickstand Case + Holster today.

Overall, I like the case. It's made from a rubberized material which didn't seem to grab lint too much out of a pocket, but held it's position well on a glass surface. The case fits both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. There's also a removable holster, which I'm never a fan of, but worked well.

The case itself is a sturdy one, ...

The original Macintosh, put together with spare parts from Steve Wozniak’s garage and held together with spit, utilized a display with a resolution smaller than a single iOS icon.

The original Macintosh had a 512 x 342 monochrome pixel display, and icons were a measly 16 x 16 pixels. Current iOS icons are 512 x 512 pixels packed with a 16.7 million color palette. The amount of memory ...
