Graviboard is a classic jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Conrad Kramer that adds physics to your iDevice’s home screen. Graviboard has been awaiting iOS 5-compatibility for some time now being that it only worked on iOS 4. It adds physics by providing you with the illusion that gravity can affect your home-screen’s icon placement. With today’s release of Graviboard 2, you can now experience these remarkable effects on your iOS 5 devices just as you had missed them from your older devices.

As the screenshot above shows, the icons are all over the place. The effects of Graviboard only work when ...

It appears that Apple is poised and willing to continue the new tradition begun last October. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant is reportedly going to maintain fall as the season in which new iPhones are introduced for the time being.

If the sources speaking in confidence with Japanese blog Macotakara are correct, the 6th-generation iPhone will reach consumers in October, one ...

A picture of Apple’s next generation iPad logic board has surfaced and the system-on-a-chip pictured isn’t the A6 processor largely assumed to power the iPad 3.

The chip has A5X printed on it instead of A6, and if the picture is indicative of the actual production iPad 3, Apple’s latest iPad will be powered by a modified A5 processor currently found in the iPad 2. The logic board indicates the chip ...

When Notification Center dispatched with iOS 5, we liked how all of our notifications were all congealed in one place. There was no more of going into each application on our home screen to go through and clear out all of the badges we saw. Unfortunately, even Notification Center's way of terminating notifications has been deemed redundant – having to tap the 'X' button and then the 'clear' button for each individual application.

Released today is a jailbreak tweak dubbed QuickSiri by iOS developer c0redev. The point of the tweak is to start Siri up in full-screen mode as soon as you fire her up so that you can evade the lag of opening Siri on older devices running Spire. According to the developer, QuickSiri will make Siri load faster as well. The side-by-side screenshot above does a great job of illustrating how Siri fires up in full-screen mode upon initial launch.

Headphones are something I do not take for granted. They play a big role in my day to day activities, whether it’s at home, at the office, or while travelling. I even use different kinds, depending if I’m going to be talking on the phone or not. I have a more expensive pair for purely listening but when I want to talk on the phone I usually switch them out for the stock Apple headphones with the in-line mic.

Unfortunately, while doing any sort of physical activity, neither of them is suitable. The Apple headphones just don’t stay in my ears and I don’t want to damage my more expensive ...

File this under “crap-I-didn’t-see-till-just-now”, but Apple finally reached a settlement in the Antennagate lawsuit against the company and issued a statement to The Loop.

“This settlement relates to a small number of customers who indicated that they experienced antenna or reception issues with their iPhone 4 and didn’t want to take advantage of a free case from Apple while it was being offered ...

Having already reviewed the Reflex and Defender series, this is our final review of the Otterbox case lineup for the iPhone 4 and 4S.

The Commuter is a two piece case which marries an inner silicone shell with a polycarbonate exterior. Putting the case on the iPhone is pretty easy: all you have to do is pop out the silicone shell, wrap it around your iPhone, and clip the hard outer shell around it. The fit on the iPhone is extremely ...

Another clever, quality case from SGP, aka Stylish people's Good Partner (shouldn't that be SPGP?). This SGP Case is one of my favorite in the bumper-style cases. It comes in two layers; the first is a premium silicon which overlaps a little on the front and back of the iPhone to be a bumper. The second layer is a harder UV coated polycarbonate shell around the sides of the phone. Together they feel very snug on ...

Final Fantasy series creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, recently teased three new games pending for the iPhone while he was found promoting the upcoming Wii title, The Last Story. Sakaguchi managed to keep most of the details to himself but he did mention that the first of the three titles will be a “surfing game” rather than one of his traditional RPG style games. As far as the other two games ...
