Last June Facebook hired notable iPhone and playstation hacker Geohot (George Hotz) and buried the young talent deep within their offices far, far away from the Jailbreak community. Well, Geohot is done with Facebook, and back to hacking, well the legal kind.

Geohot’s settled the notable legal battle with Sony over hacking out of court last April. Details of Geohots departure from Facebook still aren’t known, but the knowledge of Facebook’s innerworkings, and possible ...

    Sometimes we make mistakes.

With iOS 5, shipped a great new feature that put a camera shortcut button on our lock screen when we double-press our home button. It appears with our iPod controls. It was brought to us to make photography on iDevices more convenient, fast, and fun. It also went great with the super-speedy iPhone 4S camera which has an extremely fast shutter speed. It made it so that when that special moment came up, we would be able to take ...

The Digital Millenium Copyright Act prevents people from circumventing digital rights management and other technological measures used to protect copyrighted material. However, DMCA, just like the much talked about SOPA, has its fair share of loopholes and possible abuses companies and governments can levee against consumers.

Every three years the U.S. Copyright Office holds a “rulemaking” meeting to consider ...

Don't you just wish you could easily enable FaceTime over 3G?

Beginning with the iPhone 4, FaceTime came along as a video chatting solution for iPhone 4's. It then escalated to iPod touch 4G users and finally iPad 2 users. Steve Jobs’ IP “thermonuclear war” on Android smartphones hasn’t been nearly as successful (monetarily) as the late CEO probably would have liked. But, it sure has been expensive.

Dan Lyons of Newsweek reported that Apple initial round of suits against cost Apple near $100 million. While Lyons wasn’t able to confirm his sources claims, if it is true, the amount of money Apple spent on a single set of claims is staggering. The number of suits ...
