Based on multiple reports on Apple’s Support Communities webpage, iPhone owners who recently upgraded to iOS 7 are experiencing issues with iMessage, though a simple software reset seems to be temporarily resolving the problem. For those of you who are unaware, a number of Apple’s Support Communities users have reported an iMessage bug that is causing messages to go unsent, unreceived or sent as a text on a variety of iPhone ...

The smartphone landscape has changed drastically since 2007 as many of you may already know. Back then, the iPhone rocked the smartphone market and some may say that it still does to a certain extent. Still, the original iPhone lacked several features such as GPS, cut-and-paste, a camera with flash, and it only ran on Edge but still managed to crush its competition. Since then, there have been a total ...

Previously in June, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) struck a three-year deal with Apple to produce A-series chips for iOS devices beginning in 2014. The move was originally seen as part of Apple’s strategy of moving away from rival Samsung for component supplies, although Samsung was soon after reported to have landed its own deal to produce chips once again beginning with ...

As a full slate of small, regional carriers in the U.S. prepare to launch the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on their networks this week, another name in the carrier space may similarly extend network coverage to Apple's two new iPhones.

According to chatter bubbling through to the blogosphere Monday, Boost Mobile - a Sprint MVNO - may offer Apple's new flagship and low-cost iPhone models in the near future. Just how ...

Last Tuesday, MMi confirmed that Apple halted the in-store pickup option for buyers who purchased their new iPhone 5S online. The option had first become available to shoppers just 24 hours earlier.

In response to overwhelming demand and limited supply, Apple had no choice but to suspend this convenience... that is, until today. As of Monday, iPhone 5S buyers are once again seeing in-store ...

Despite market suspicions that iPhone sales were tanking prior to the launch of Apple's new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, the latest data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech suggests the opposite is true.

Between June 1st and August 31st of this year, Apple's iPhone claimed just under 40% of all U.S. smartphones purchased. That's up from 34% during the same period one year earlier.

    Interestingly, today's ...

Just in case you've missed out on the new jailbreak tweaks Cydia has seen, this recap will highlight all of the the jailbreak tweaks we've shown you this week. These are in no specific order.

    1. Arco – 99˘

Arco is a new jailbreak tweak that forces the music-playing indicator in the Status Bar to show a little more information than it normally would. For example, the indicator will now show a circle that lights up based on the progress of the song. In addition, if you pause music, it'll say you paused the music instead of disappearing entirely. It does all of this while looking great. If you want to read more about Arco, you will find our post on it at this ...

Going back to the basics, a large part of jailbreaking is just being able to customize things to our liking. There are tons of elements in iOS that we can customize, and today, we'll be looking at the dock on the home screen.

With a new jailbreak tweak called ColorDock by iOS developer Vatsal Manot, we can change the appearance of the iOS dock in many different ways. For example, we played with all of the tweak's settings to achieve the result above, but there are literally ...

To add that final, minimalistic, but cool effect to your iOS device, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called TouchSniper by iOS developer Shmoopi.

This tweak will show a set of crosshairs anywhere on the display that you tap or swipe with your finger, as shown above. The crosshairs add a really neat effect to the screen.

When you install TouchSniper, you will find a new preferences pane in the Settings application that lets you enable ...

Sometimes we try to be creative, but some of Apple’s restrictions can keep our imaginations from shining. This is why we jailbreak our iOS devices.

With a new free jailbreak tweak called Unrestricted Folders Naming by iOS developer PoomSmart, we can remove all of the silly folder-naming restrictions from naming folders on our home screens.

For example, if you want to have multiple spaces before or after a word in ...
