Apple is requiring that any patent settlement negotiations with Samsung include a provision that blocks the South Korean tech giant from cloning its designs, a provision that was also key to the deal that Apple forged with HTC in November 2012. For those of you who didn’t remember both Apple and Samsung are gearing up for a second US patent lawsuit that is set to begin March 31. Both the tech giants were requested by the court to at least ...

Owners of the mid-range iPhone 5C can now have their handset’s display replaced at Apple retail stores as opposed to being forced to swap phones or send the device off to a remote repair center. The $149 service originally started with the iPhone 5 last June and has now been extended to the iPhone 5C, though no other iPhone models, including Apple’s flagship iPhone 5S, are covered. The folks over at CNN ...

Whether or not you're a fan of all the aesthetic changes in iOS 7, jailbreaking your iOS device(s) will always give you the ability to change things around to your liking.

A new free jailbreak tweak called ClassicDock by iOS developers CoolStar and sharedRoutine will get rid of the new flat Home Screen application dock style in iOS 7 and make it look like it did in iOS 6, as shown above. The tweak includes the mirrored glass panel ...

Frustratingly, when you sync photos to your iOS device(s) with iTunes, Apple doesn't give you any way to delete those photos off of your iPhone without painstakingly plugging your device into your computer and using iTunes again to remove them from your iOS device. Also, you don't have a way to move those synced photos to your Camera Roll for easier control and organization.

With a new free jailbreak tweak called iDeletePhotos ...

From 50 million to 90 million units, there are some analysts who are so far apart on their quarterly sales projections for iOS-powered devices last quarter that there's no chance they'll ever meet in the middle.

With Apple set to announce quarterly earnings results next week, expectations are generally high regarding how many iPhones and iPads Apple sold during the holiday quarter ending December 31st. But the ...

Sometimes you need quick access to getting in touch with your most important friends and family. The widget populates itself from the favorite contacts that you have set in your Phone application, and it shows their names, as well ...

Just a few days ago, a tweak was released in Cydia that allowed users to change their YouTube video streaming quality settings while connected to a cellular network, and not Wi-Fi; it was called HD Enabler for YouTube and we showed it to you here. The tweak worked well, but the only major problem with the tweak is that for what it did, the price of $1.99 was a bit steep.

If you find yourself creating notes to yourself often, whether they’re shopping lists, to-do lists, or something to remember for later, then you might find this new free add-on for Activator to be pretty useful.

NoteCreator by iOS developer JGTweaks is now available in Cydia's ModMyi repository, and allows you to create notes from anywhere with the simple use of an Activator action. When you invoke the Activator action of your choice, you will get a text field window, ...

Earlier today, we showed you Colorize, a tweak that would color your Music application in iOS 7 to match the color tones in the album artwork of the music that you're listening to. The coloring adds a nice touch of customization and character to your music application.

Another developer by the name of David Goldman has made a similar tweak dubbed ColorFlow that also colorizes your Music application with your album art in mind, as shown above.

Apple's Mobile Safari Web browser in iOS uses a Nitro JavaScript engine that takes advantage of JIT (Just In Time) compiling to give users screaming JavaScript performance on their mobile devices. For whatever reason, probably to make Mobile Safari look like the best Web browser for iOS, Apple doesn't let third party Web browser developers have access to this feature, but you can easily enable it for ...
