If you're in the market for controlling your iOS device(s) with just the sound of your voice, then you've got to check out an awesome new jailbreak tweak called Acute by iOS developers Sassoty and Phillip Tennen.

This tweak will integrate with Activator, allowing you to assign different Activator actions to different words or phrases that you might tell your iOS device. Acute will let you create as many words or phrases as you want, and then you can assign whatever you want to those phrases.

As soon as you visit the Acute preferences pane in the Settings application, you will be asked to calibrate your voice. The tweak says you can say anything for as long as you want. This is to get the tweak ready for listening to you, and hopefully, you only:

On Tuesday, Apple released an update for its iTunes U application for the iOS platform that brought it up to version 2.0 in the App Store.

We had been looking forward to this update for about a month; Apple announced at the end of last month that the update was coming soon, but never told us when it would be available. That question has been answered today.

    iTunes U 2.0 is now available ...

On Tuesday, the very popular auki quick reply and quick compose tweak for iOS text messages and iMessages by iOS developer Bensge and graphic designer Surenix received a notable update to version 1.3.

The update adds official support for the recent Pangu iOS 7.1-7.1.2 jailbreak. Features in version 1.2 that were broken on the latest version(s) of iOS 7 are now fixed in version 1.3., but that's not even the half of it.

Version 1.3 also adds a number of new features for users, including:

According to numerous reports, Apple is rolling out support for its own maps service in the Web application version of its Find My iPhone service on the iCloud Web site. Apple previously used Google Maps for this service, which allows you to see all of your devices current and most recent locations on a map.

With iOS 6, Apple replaced Google Maps as the default mapping solution with a Maps ...

This recap will go over the best tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most notable. These are in no specific order.

    1. Interactive Message Notifications 99

Interactive Message Notifications is a new jailbreak tweak that gives your iOS 7 device a text message and iMessage quick reply system similar to that in iOS 8. You will be able to slide down on notification banners from your Messages application or from your WhatsApp Messenger application to easily reply to that message right from the notification banner. Unfortunately, the tweak doesn't offer quick reply from the Lock Screen, but it's a nice start. You can read our full review of Interactive ...

If you remember a very popular free jailbreak tweak in the past called Webscrollian, then you'll love a new free jailbreak tweak called Fascy by iOS developer r_plus.

This tweak allows you to scroll very quickly through Web views with minimal effort. For example, we opened Mobile Safari and went to modmyi.com and attempted to scroll from top to bottom. We found that without the tweak, it took seven full swipes to reach the bottom of the page. ...

Chances are, you have an e-mail address that you use for a username on several of your favorite places to log in, and instead of having to type it in everywhere, having something that could auto-input it for you would reduce the workload of having to type it in constantly.

A new free jailbreak tweak called TapTheAt by iOS developer Phillip Tennen is now available in Cydia that makes it easier than ever to input your main e-mail address into a text field.

To input your main E-mail address, all you have to do is tap and hold on the "@" symbol on your iOS keyboard and then release, ...

iOS 7 normally has no background blur whatsoever when you open SpotLight until you actually start searching for something and your search results appear. This has a slightly ugly appearance in terms of user interface rules and it isn't very aesthetically pleasing. To fix this, we have a new free jailbreak tweak called blurSL by iOS developer twodayslate.

As shown above, blurSL will make SpotLight display a background blur as soon as you open it up, taking all of those Home Screen application icons out of focus and putting focus where it needs to be on the keyboard and ...

If you would like to add some color to your volume HUD (heads-up display) in iOS 7, then we've got a cool new jailbreak tweak to show you. It's called ColorfulVolume by iOS developer ryebread761 and it allows you to add a hue of color to your volume HUD, as shown above.

ColorfulVolume adds a preferences pane to your Settings application where you can configure it to your liking:

From here, you can do such things as enable or disable the tweak on demand to go from colorful or boring whenever you want to, choose the RGB color that you want to use by way of three sliders, ...

If you've seen the iOS 8 beta already, then you know that the upcoming quick reply functionality for text messages and iMessages is going to save you a lot of time so that you won't have to unlock your device and visit your Messages application to reply to incoming messages, or close out of the application you're in to reply to incoming messages.

iOS developer Mohamed Marbouh has just released a new jailbreak tweak called Interactive Message Notifications that allows you to bring this great quick reply functionality to iOS 7 in the form of the iOS 8-styled interface, as shown above.

We just got done showing you LSWeather by iOS developer whynot, which allows you to put the current weather conditions outside on your iOS 7 Lock Screen where the slide to unlock text usually appears, but it's also worth noting that the same developer has also just released another jailbreak tweak called StatusbarWeather7 that allows you to put weather information in your iOS 7 Status Bar, and just like LSWeather, this tweak is pretty elegant.

StatusbarWeather7 will allow you to either place the outside weather conditions right next to the time in your Status Bar, or you can replace the carrier ...
