  • SBSettings 6.0 Released, iOS 6 Supported

The evad3rs have announced that the evasi0n untethered iOS 6 jailbreak will be released on Monday, so what better way for developers to prepare than to get their jailbreak tweaks prepared for users to download? Highly popular toggle platform SBSettings has been updated to version 6.0 Sunday, adding complete compatibility with iOS 6.

The main problem with SBSettings before this update that kept us from calling it iOS 6-compatible was that the Airplane Mode toggle, when tapped, would cause the SpringBoard to crash. With version 6.0 of SBSettings, the Airplane Mode toggle is no longer a dependency, so it’s no longer installed with SBSettings by default. The developer of the Airplane Mode SBSettings toggle will need to update his toggle before it can be used with iOS 6.

Just like SBSettings 5, SBSettings 6 can be used via Activator (swipe Status Bar by default), or from Notification Center. Additional toggles can be downloaded from Cydia, however they’re not all compatible with iOS 6 at this point in time. SBSettings’ stock toggles include 3G, Bluetooth, Data, Location, and Wi-Fi. In addition to toggles, a Brightness slider button, and a Processes button are also made available. All of the stock toggles work just fine with iOS 6.

When the jailbreak hits tomorrow, you can grab SBSettings 6 from the BigBoss repository for free.

Heh, I was just about to say the same thing. But I'm in the same situation. Jailbreak went smoothly, now trying to install SBSettings and keeps returning an internal server error. I can only imagine how many people are hammering the servers trying to install their jb apps.

It all depends on which repo hosts them. All are getting slammed right now so have to be patient with all because sometimes dependencies cross repos.

Tried to install on day 1, justlike a million other people, and got jammed, server time out...
Anyhow, no 3g, even though it is "window toggle on" on the iphone 5. Same for SSH, and obviously the not included airplane mode. On the 4 with all default buttons toggled on, SSH does not show. Everything seems to work fine on 4, 4s, and 5 running with 6.0, 6.0.1, and 6.1 respectively
Once airplane mode is activated for the iphone 5, i will be able to save data by using wifi INSTEAD of 3g. Airplane mode on, data and 3g off, wifi on.

I have the same problem with the 3g. I don't know about airplane mode, because I dont use it. As far as the 3g toggle goes, I just figure that it has become un-necessary since no one probably ever turns 3g off anymore. An LTE switch would make more sense now.

I dont know why the 3g toggle would not work though

I've installed SBSettings and I'm good to go -- great work! I noticed that Poof! is now included in SBSettings. However, when I "poof!" apps, I can't launch them from Spotlight Seach (by typing in the app name) like I could do on previous versions of Poof! Is this a known issue or a feature? Maybe I'm missing something. Any help appreciated.

Use Cydia's WeeKillBackground to add a bar
with the Notification screen. One tap will
Close all running apps. No need to individually
remove by double pressing home button then
      tapping each app's red x.
Easy one step saves time and home button.
