Everyone has been waiting for the evad3rs to update the evasi0n Web site with the evasi0n iOS 6 jailbreak tool on Sunday, however according to a recent Tweet from the evad3rs hacker team, it will be Monday, not Sunday, that will be fun-day. (It still rhymes!)
The official countdown for the evasi0n iOS 6 untethered jailbreak has begun, and the tool will be released on Monday. The untethered jailbreak will run on iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2, and iOS 6.1. The tool will also support three desktop operating systems: Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. The tool will be able to jailbreak all of Apple’s devices that can run iOS 6 including the new iPhone 5, iPod touch 5G, iPad with retina display, and iPad Mini.
If your devices have not yet been updated to the latest firmware, now is a very good time to take care of that. We recommend iOS 6.1. We have published an optional guide to preparing your iOS device for the imminent jailbreak, which you can read here.
