Notification is a nice place to get some quick information about the Weather, Stocks, and your notifications (even Tweet and post to Facebook if you’re on iOS 6), however Apple could have made the effect of opening and closing Notification Center just a little bit more visually appealing to the user’s eyes.
Instead of merely dragging a sheet over your home screen, a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Fade by iOS developer SuperDev will add a pleasant fading animation to the home screen's application icons as you pull Notification Center down or drag Notification Center up.
Fade detects how far you’ve dragged Notification Center with your finger and then intelligently fades the home screen icons depending on how far you’ve dragged. If you only move Notification Center about 10% of the way down the screen, the home screen icons will be about 10% faded. On the other hand, if you drag Notification Center about 80% of the way down the screen, the home screen icons will be about 80% faded. The tweak also works in reverse, when closing Notification Center.
Fade doesn’t affect the interfaces of applications while opening and closing Notification Center, as it was made only to affect the home screen. We think it would be cool to see an update where it also fades application interfaces just like it does with the home screen application icons.
As it stands right now, it’s free, it works on any iPhone/iPod touch/iPad running iOS 5 or iOS 6, and has no options to configure. You can grab this tweak right now to try it out from the BigBoss repository.
